∎ The role of Case Management Coordinator within the project is one of a key leader and influence. The Legal cum Case Management Coordinator is expected to have the highest levels of aptitude, legal knowledge and in depth understanding of the country`s legal services operations and procedures, as well as demonstrating commitment and enthusiasm in the delivery of the project`s core objectives.

∎ As a member of the team, the Legal cum Case Management Coordinator is also required to contribute to the effective delivery of project targets and objectives. The Legal cum Case Management Coordinator role contains both generic responsibilities for the post and specific responsibilities unique to either Research & Development of Casework.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Advise beneficiary about their problems.
∎ Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for individuals.
∎ Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
∎ Present and summarize cases to judges.
∎ Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentations of cases.
∎ Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
∎ Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
∎ Examine legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit.
∎ Select jurors, argue motions, meet with judges and question witnesses during the course of a trial.
∎ Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.
∎ Study Constitution, statutes, decisions, regulations and ordinances of quasi-judicial bodies to determine ramifications for cases.
∎ Prepare and draft legal documents.
∎ Prepare legal briefs and opinions and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
∎ Negotiate settlements of civil disputes and conduct shalish/mediation.
∎ Confer with colleagues with specialties in appropriate areas of legal issue to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.
∎ Supervise legal assistants.
∎ Supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of the project implementation and development as requested.
∎ Prepare monthly and quarterly work plans.
∎ Prepare and submit periodic progress report (monthly and quarterly).
∎ Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 26 years
∎ At least 2-3 years' work experience in NGO legal service delivery program.

Salary: Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
