∎ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in international development, Business Development or related Social Science.
∎ Minimum of 2 years’ relevant working experience in business development, fundraising and acquisition of awards.
∎ Behavioral values and skills: trust, accountability, problem solving, cooperation, analytical, networking, marketing, relationship building, facilitation, planning & organizing, negotiating, flexibility.
∎ Excellent English writing and communication skills.
∎ Good knowledge about the local context.
∎ Experience working within the NGO context at a field level.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Fundraising and identify and track funding opportunities from institutional donors, foundations, and corporates.
∎ Support donor outreach efforts, including coordinating meetings and maintaining donor databases.
∎ Assist in organizing fundraising events, networking sessions, and donor presentations. Proposal Development:
∎ Work closely with technical experts to develop high-quality concept notes and proposals.
∎ Review donor guidelines and assist in writing sections of proposals, ensuring alignment with donor requirements.
∎ Support the preparation of proposal budgets in coordination with finance team. Research & Documentation:
∎ Conduct research on donor priorities, funding trends, and competitor analysis.
∎ Prepare donor briefs, presentations, capability statements, and one-pagers.
∎ Maintain an organized repository of organizational credentials, past proposals, and key data points. Bid Management & Coordination:
∎ Support the bid preparation process by tracking deadlines and ensuring timely submissions.
∎ Assist in compiling required documents, such as bid forms, checklists, and CVs.
∎ Coordinate with internal (country and global office) teams and external partners to ensure smooth proposal development. Integrity:
∎ Showcases integrity standards as outlined in Cordaid’s integrity policies.
∎ Fulfills integrity responsibilities as outlined in Cordaid’s Integrity Framework and Standard Operating Procedures.
