Job Responsibilities:
∎ Business development- bi-lateral, multi-lateral, corporates and local fundraising
∎ Assist with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective donors based on the World Vision Rohingya Crisis Response of World Vision Bangladesh.
∎ Write and distribute agendas, proposals, cost estimates, and brief documents for internal and external meetings.
∎ Work closely with selective World Vision Support Offices, UN donors and other international stakeholders; collect donor intelligence and undertake a donor mapping related to BRCR’s focused sectors.
∎ Strategy and system development
∎ Develop and regularly review the Business Development Plan and ensure that it is consistent with the strategic focus of WVBRCR.
∎ Create and implement business strategies and identify new funders to enter.
∎ Conduct market research to identify new business development opportunities.
∎ Growth and management of the grant, PNS and contracts
∎ Conduct in-country donor mapping to understand donor landscape, priorities, geographic interest and funding opportunities.
∎ Create and maintain updated donor databases and mail lists on a regular basis.
∎ Track submitted proposals and providing feedback to management.
∎ Pursue resource mobilization opportunities aligned to WVBRCR’s Strategic Objectives.
∎ Provide effect administrative support.
∎ Writing excellent grants proposals in English.
∎ Stakeholder engagement and relationship building (local donors & partners)
∎ Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with donors via email, phone, and in-person.
∎ Coordinating and arranging donor events, meetings, appointments, and conferences.
∎ Closely communicate with the selective SOs and Programme Managers on issues related to project execution
∎ Staff management and teamwork.
∎ Contribute to a conducive environment for the wider team and work.
∎ Ensure project staff understand and comply with the donor requirements, rules, procedures and regulations.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ A competent networker who can keep abreast of current trends and grant opportunities in the humanitarian sector as well as the needs of major donors, including as the UN agencies, USAID, DFATD, DG-ECHO, and Australian Aid, is needed.
∎ A self-assured level of proficiency in complicated project management, budget and financial management, and stakeholder monitoring
∎ Advanced computer literacy and familiarity with spreadsheet programmes.
∎ Technical training requirements include producing proposals and reports, monitoring projects, and adhering to the standards of key donors including the UN, USAID, DFATD, DG-ECHO, and Australian Aid. Professional technical skill is also necessary in project cycle management.
∎ The ability to express complicated ideas and principles is necessary, as are excellent communication and public relations abilities, as well as high written and oral English language proficiency.
∎ It is preferable to have a high level of interpersonal competency across cultures, personal maturity, and a track record of successfully influencing several stakeholders.
∎ The job needs the ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time in-country.
∎ Solid understanding of and experience with managing projects for governmental and global organisations. Experience with grant compliance procedures and grant-funded projects for significant bilateral and multilateral funders
∎ Excellent grants proposal writing skill in English
