Responsibilities & Context:
Process Optimization:
Prepare comprehensive estimates for repair costs on damaged vehicles.
Removal of non-related components in order to affect complete repairs to vehicles.
Repair damaged body sections by panel beating and or by replacement.
Carry out accident repairs of the body & chassis as required.
Spray paint repaired body sections and/or complete vehicles as required.
Apply all new fleet logos and other signs as and when required.
Always maintain Health & Safety standards.
Understanding and working knowledge of all related SOP’s.
Maintain high GHP standards in the working area.
Manage, organize, and control an efficient mechanical engineering workshop including the management of Technicians and Graded Workers.
Manage, plan, control and organize the planned preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance on all equipment in order to maximize their lifespan and ensure safety.
This involves monitoring the performance of mechanical plant and machinery, ensuring remedial work is undertaken to prevent failure/loss of the plant and equipment.
Performs a variety of highly skilled automotive repair tasks.
Designing automotive components and systems (engine, chassis, suspension, braking, transmission, body parts)
Improving vehicle aerodynamics, weight distribution, and fuel efficiency.
