Education:
    • Diploma in Computer in Computer Science & Engineering
    • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory). Candidates with significant experience in IT support will be considered in lieu of formal education.

Responsibilities & Context:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure, including Mikrotik routers, desktops, laptops, network switches, and Windows-based operating systems. The IT Support Specialist will frequently visit factory sites to ensure smooth IT operations, address on-site issues as required, and perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the department head.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Management:

  • Configure, monitor, and maintain Mikrotik routers and network switches.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
  • Support the setup, maintenance, and optimization of LAN/WAN infrastructure.

Desktop and Laptop Support:

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows-based operating systems and software.
  • Perform hardware troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades.

Factory Visits:

  • Conduct routine visits to factory locations to ensure IT systems are functioning optimally.
  • Address and resolve on-site technical issues related to hardware, software, or networking.
  • Provide guidance and support to factory staff on IT-related matters.

System Administration:

  • Ensure regular system backups and uphold data security protocols.
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system updates.

Technical Support:

  • Respond promptly to IT support requests and provide effective solutions.
  • Document issues and escalate unresolved problems to higher-level support if necessary.
  • Train end-users on best practices for using IT tools and resources.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the department head to meet organizational objectives.
