Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee the full cycle of media billing, including third-party vendor bills, client invoicing, credit notes, and collection tracking.
∎ Ensure accurate and timely client billing in alignment with IOs (Insertion Orders) and release orders.
∎ Manage media commission structures and agency fee billing.
∎ Coordinate with media planners/buyers and client servicing teams for billing clarity and dispute resolution.
∎ Ensure proper VAT application on media spends, agency commissions, and third-party vendor payments.
∎ Maintain updated knowledge of VAT, AIT, and other tax implications on media transactions, particularly relevant to digital and traditional media buying.
∎ Liaise with external consultants/auditors for periodic tax filings, audits, and compliance.
∎ Support tax planning and risk mitigation.
∎ Lead monthly/quarterly/year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
∎ Oversee bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and fund management.
∎ Prepare and review financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow for management.
∎ Coordinate with external and internal auditors during audit processes.
∎ Collaborate cross-functionally with client servicing, media planning, and operations teams.
∎ Develop SOPs for finance operations within a fast-paced, media-driven environment.
∎ Recommend and implement improvements in financial systems and controls.
∎ Ensure integration between media tracking platforms and finance ERP/software for streamlined billing.
∎ Billing & Revenue Management:
