• Well conversant with MS office applications.

Job Summary

To conduct microbiological testing and monitoring of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and production environments to ensure the safety, purity, and compliance of homoeopathic, Unani and Herbal medicines, with applicable quality standards, pharmacopeia specifications, and regulatory guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

1. Microbiological Testing Products.

• Perform microbial limit tests, total viable count (TVC) on raw materials, bulk products, and finished goods.

• Ensure microbiological quality of water used in manufacturing (e.g., Purified Water, Distilled Water) as per pharmacopeia standards.

• Conduct sterility tests for sterile homoeopathic products (if applicable).

• Organize and carry out microbiological analysis of Raw Materials and Finished goods.

2. Environmental Monitoring

• Carry out regular microbiological monitoring of production areas, storage facilities, and packaging zones to maintain hygienic conditions.

• Perform settle plate, swab test, and air sampling in cleanrooms and manufacturing areas.

• Maintain microbial trend analysis and environmental monitoring reports.

3. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain documentation, development and upgradation of test formats and record keeping.

• Ensure compliance with DGDA regulations, WHO-GMP, Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia and other applicable guidelines.

4. Equipment Handling & Calibration

• Operate, maintain, and calibrate microbiological testing instruments such as autoclaves, incubators, laminar airflow cabinets, colony counters, and microscopes.

• Ensure proper media preparation, sterilization, and validation of microbiological methods.

5. Hygiene & Safety

• Follow laboratory safety protocols to prevent contamination and cross-contamination.
