Since 2009 in Bangladesh, Room to Read is implementing education support Programs in low-income and remote communities in Natore, Cox’s Bazar, Dhaka, Moulvibazar, Narail and Jhalokathi districts. Till 2024, we have supported the education of more than 2.4 million children in Primary and 3.1 million girls in Secondary schools in various capacities. We are proud to have worked with DPE, NCTB, NAPE, DSHE, a2i as well as national radio and TV in executing scalable and systemic initiatives to eradicate illiteracy and embed life-skills.
Position Overview:
This short-term position (April to December 2026) will support the implementation of a donor-funded project supported by the BATA Foundation. The Associate Program Operations will work closely with schools, the Program team, and the Program Operations team to ensure smooth implementation of project activities. Key responsibilities include coordinating with schools, supporting program implementation, distributing materials, conducting monitoring visits, collecting data, and maintaining proper documentation. The position will be based in Dhaka and will report directly to the Director, Program Operations.
Roles & responsibilities:
Implement program activities in line with the approved plan and budget.
Coordinate with local government offices to secure required clearances and support administrative processes.
Ensure timely distribution of materials and provide guidance to beneficiaries on their effective use.
Collaborate with the Program Operations team and schools to organize training sessions, workshops, meetings, and other program events.
Provide on-site support to teachers in implementing program activities and managing materials, including organizing bookshelves, overseeing the book check-out process, and establishing/maintaining LSE clubrooms.
Conduct regular monitoring visits to schools to observe program implementation and share findings with the Program Operations team.
Collect program data, updates from schools, and other information required for donor reporting.
Support the Communications team by collecting photos and other visual documentation from the field.
Organize and facilitate donor visits, ensuring proper coordination and logistical arrangements.
Prepare and submit required financial documents to the Finance team.
Maintain and organize project documentation, including contracts, MoUs, reports, and other records.
Share regular updates on project progress with the Program Operations team.
Perform any other tasks assigned by the Program Operations team.
