Responsibilities & Context:

A. Educational Qualifications

PhD degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university (mandatory as per UGC guidelines)

MPhil with significant research contribution may be considered only where permitted by UGC (subject to institutional policy)

B. Teaching Experience

Minimum 5 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in a recognized university  OR

Minimum 8–10 years of total university-level teaching experience

C. Research and Publications

Minimum 5–7 peer-reviewed research publications in recognized and indexed journals (e.g., Scopus, Web of Science, or UGC-approved journals)

Conference papers, book chapters, and funded research projects will be considered an added advantage

D. Academic and Professional Skills

Sound knowledge of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and modern teaching-learning methodologies

Experience in curriculum development, course design, assessment, and student supervision

Active involvement in academic research, faculty development, and institutional quality assurance activities

E. Age Limit

Generally between 35 and 50 years (flexible as per university policy)
