Job Context:
∎ We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced candidate to oversee the SAJIDA Foundation`s Microfinance programme`s financial and management reporting, bank relationship and loan management functions. The candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining strong partnerships with financial institutions and efficiently managing SAJIDA Foundation`s borrowing and lending activities and providing relevant data with actionable insights. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while adhering to the guidelines and regulations set by the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) of Bangladesh. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of management reporting, financial markets, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) guidelines and accounting standards (IFRS).
∎ Develop and maintain management reporting tools and dashboards to provide top management with real-time insights into the microfinance program performance.
∎ Ensure Branch, region and division wise microfinance profitability and sustainability analysis for every month.
∎ Collaborate with programs & MIS to gather relevant data and create customized reports to address specific management information needs.
∎ Prepare analysis on peer industry comparative information.
∎ Monitor financial performance and variances against budgets and forecasts, highlighting key trends and areas of concern to management.
∎ Generate reports on loan utilization, interest costs/cost of capital, and other relevant financial metrics for presentation to senior management and stakeholders.
∎ Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
∎ Negotiate favorable terms for banking services, such as credit lines, cash management solutions, and interest rates.
∎ Collaborate with the treasury team to manage daily banking operations and ensure smooth cash flow management.
∎ Prepare loan proposals and present them to banks for securing funding, ensuring compliance with lending guidelines and regulatory standards.
∎ Monitor loan agreements, covenants, and repayment schedules, ensuring timely payments and adherence to contractual terms.
∎ Assess and manage financial risks associated with loans and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
∎ Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements set by the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) and Bangladesh Bank.
∎ Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and external reporting requirements related to loan management and banking activities.
∎ Prepare and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports as per the prescribed formats and guidelines.
∎ Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, incorporating inputs from MF programme and aligning them with strategic objectives.
∎ Monitor budget performance throughout the year and analyze variances, working closely with programme heads to understand underlying drivers and take corrective actions if necessary.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven experience of 10-12 years in financial reporting and analysis, preferably within the microfinance industry in Bangladesh.
∎ Familiarity with the regulations and guidelines of the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) of Bangladesh.
∎ Proven experience in finance management, bank relationship management, and loan administration in a corporate setting.
∎ Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software. Exposure in Digital transformation/ERP implementation
∎ Excellent communication skills for effectively presenting complex financial information.
∎ Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
∎ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
