Job Context:
∎ Provision of life - saving WASH services to the Rohingya refugee population in Ukhiya Upazila, Cox`s Bazar District, Camp-6.
∎ The duration of the contract will be until January 31, 2023.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Preparing and reviewing the design, drawing and BoQ to Implement/ rehabilitate different types of Water facilities (Tube wells, Ring well, Rain water harvesting system, surface water technology and Water distribution networks) in camp context
∎ Preparing Work plan along with Water supply Engineer & ensure timely and effective implementation.
∎ Provide technical support for production borehole drilling as well as assist in preparing bore log report, geophysical logging & use of water logger at bore hole
∎ Provide a technical support to conduct Pump test to ensure maximum level of abstraction rate for meeting up the demand
∎ Provide technical support for the installation of water supply facilities such as deep and shallow tube well as well as the water distribution network system alone with Oxfam tank setup (T95)
∎ Daily managing community volunteers (Pump operators, Tube wells machines, Water Quality test volunteers) and labor in the camp
∎ Ensuring functionality of water supply facilities (Tube wells and Water distribution networks any other Water supply facilities in camp level
∎ Monitoring the quality and quantity of hardware involved in construction, repairing and maintenance of Water supply facilities when receiving from suppliers and also crosschecking before installation with technical specifications, drawing and design
∎ Regularly monitoring the water treatment process (Chlorination process) to ensure safe water supply in the camp level
∎ Conducting regular monitoring and full technical supervision and provide technical inputs to the associates
∎ Develop details O&M plan for different water supply service facilities of Tube wells and Water distribution networks
∎ Represent internal & external meeting and co-ordination with sanitation and Hygiene Promotion team
∎ To maintain up-to-date records of all field activities, the status of construction materials and equipment at store as well as construction site
∎ Raising purchase requisition backed by field assessment to ensure smooth operation of the program and keeping strong follow-up with supply chain management
∎ Supporting the Line Manager to engage actively in Field Level Working Groups and position NGOF as a lead WASH agency in Rohingya Refugee context
∎ Preparing weekly, monthly and any other reports as the program demands
∎ Field co-ordination with CiC office and other acting partners in different sectors in the refugee camp
∎ Supervise the Water quality technician, Pump Operator, Tube well Mechanic to smooth perform their job
∎ Assist the Water supply engineer in overall planning, designing, budgeting, implementation & monitoring of the Project
∎ Exhibit spiritual maturity, integrity and a dynamic personal sense of life calling
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Preparation of design, drawing & BoQ’s Field coordination, Reporting, etc.
∎ Team management- Ability to work under limited supervision - Dynamism - Good report writing ability-Computer skills (Have strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Water GEMS, EPANET, Compass Software GIS, MS Office).
∎ Ability to work well under pressure and in response to changing needs.
∎ Have better understanding on WASH sector standard.
∎ Experience Operation & Maintenance of Chlorinated Water Distribution Networks & functional WaSH facilities at Rohingya Refugees Camp.
∎ Good written and spoken in English is essential.
Salary: Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
