Responsibilities & Context:
Maintain accurate inventory of all chemicals and materials.
Ensure proper labeling and segregation of chemicals based on compatibility.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
Oversee the use and maintenance of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Oversee the loading, unloading, inspection, and documentation of incoming chemicals.
Supervise the preparation and dispatch of outgoing shipments, ensuring correct packaging and labeling of hazardous materials.
Verify transport documentation (e.g., Dangerous Goods Declarations, Bills of Lading).
Delegate tasks and monitor performance.
Maintain a culture of safety and accountability.
Ensure chemicals are stored under proper environmental conditions (temperature, ventilation, etc.).
Maintain records of chemical movement, usage, expiry, and disposal.
Generate regular reports on inventory levels, safety incidents, and audits.
Keep updated Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure accessibility.
