• Recording of relevant data in appropriate logbooks with full clear signature of operative.
• Distribution of processed devices.
• Operation of mechanical processing equipment including washer disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners and sterilizers.
• Handling and storing raw materials and sterilized goods.

Job Context: We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Technician to join our Central Sterile Services Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sterilization, and maintenance of medical instruments and equipment, adhering to the highest standards of infection control and safety protocols.

Job Responsibilities:

• When handling contaminated item wearing personal protective equipment is mandatory.
• Folding and packing of all linen, drapes and dressing materials.
• Drying properly of all washed particulars.
• Packing the instruments as per checklist.
• To check instrument and medical devices visually for cleanliness and missing parts/functional test (tips, screws, free movement, sharpness and overall conditions.
• Ensure packages to label prior to sterilization in a way that does not compromise the integrity of the pack.
• Maintain all records & documents in prescribed registers.
• Ensure that steam sterilizing cycle in run according to temperature recommended (134° C & 121° C) & recommended pressure of steam, air & water.
• Ensure that Low Temperature ETO & H2O2 Plasma sterilizing cycle in run according to temperature recommended (50° C - 55° C).
• To maintain quality aseptic control procedures in containing effort to prevent and control the spread of infection.
• Inspect packages to ensure integrity and external chemical indicator has changed.
• To be kept all storage area clean, dry, protected from moisture and any sterile items that have been dropped on the floor are considered unsterile.
• He should be trained for operating the steam sterilizer, ETO, H₂O, Plasma Sterilizer, Ultrasonic cleaner, washer disinfector, dryer, auto sealer & labeling machine.
