Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree in any of the following discipline: Agricultural Science or Agricultural Economics or Economics or Business Administration

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Organisation of sector specific Public Private Partnership Platform (PPPP) at sub-district level as main anchor point for value chain and market system development process, facilitate PPPP to develop strategy and action plan and initiate measures for market system and value chain development.
∎ Contribute for sector/sub-sector/value chain assessment/rapid market assessment with involvement of private local service providers
∎ Identification and promotion of Local Service Providers and build their skills on organizational strengthening of producer groups, and provide holistic package of services to producer groups ranging from business planning, market, access and access to finance.
∎ Organisational strengthening of upazila level association of local service providers for promotion of service market.
∎ Organise and capacity building supports to MSMEs and their networks at upazila level.
∎ Facilitate local service providers to organize producers groups, and support producer groups to establish and implement business plan and match making with value chain actors including financial service providers;
∎ Identification and selection of innovative technologies for promotion of nutrition sensitive value chains and establish trials and demonstrations through LSPs with engagement of public and private sectors;
∎ Contribute/develop guidelines, tools, training modules/manual and monitoring systems in relation to market system/value chain development and technology promotion in relation to promotion of nutrition sensitive value chains.
∎ Development of SBCC materials for market system actors and producers by own and or engagement of resources from public and private sectors.
∎ Assessment of WASH and DNI supply chain and facilitate promotion of supply chain and social marketing of WASH and DNI products and services through match making between suppliers and local retailers and establishment of local production and sales centers through business development support to local entrepreneurs.
∎ Facilitate multi-stakeholders to establish collection and sales point through joint initiative.
∎ Develop and implement local strategy to support producers and MSMEs to integrate climate change and DRR aspects in value chain development and market development interventions.
∎ Monitoring and knowledge management: facilitate quality information collection through appropriate monitoring exercise, prepare periodic progress reports, case studies, and other communication materials on best practices and innovations.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years' practical work experience in implementation of VCD and market system development project in Bangladesh;
∎ Basic training on VCD and market system development including private sector engagement, M4P, Livelihoods strategies, and access to finance;
∎ Excellent knowledge of VCD, market system development, private sector engagement, and livelihoods approaches;
∎ Ability to work in unstable security environments and to adapt to basic living conditions;
∎ Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions with limited supervision.
∎ Willingness to perform 75% work time in field at upazila/union/village levels;
∎ Good communication skill in English, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
∎ Experience in capacity building, and mentoring to partner and stakeholder;
∎ Able to work independently while being a strong team player;
∎ Have knowledge on related government policies;
∎ Proficient IT user including MS office mandatory;
