Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years' experience in development organization preferably in Shelter/NFI/ Site improvement field.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project implementation:
∎ Prepare drawing, design and cost estimates as per project needs.
∎ Provide technical support to the households, laborers, masons and contractors to implement shelter/NFI and site improvement works as per specifications and standards.
∎ Ensure household owners, laborers are following project implementation guidelines to complete project activities within the agreed timeframe maintaining the highest standards.
∎ Provide support in beneficiary's selection and identify suitable spots for hardware interventions.
∎ Provide technical support to Field Facilitator for implementation of project activities as per standards.
∎ Prepare monthly plans and review periodically with the line manager.
∎ Consider disaster resilient features, gender sensitivity, inclusive approach as a cross cutting issues during programme planning and implementation.
∎ Information management and reporting:
∎ Assess needs for shelter/NFI and site improvement activities at Camp level.
∎ Lead data collection, record keeping and update the project database to measure the progress of planned activities.
∎ Prepare and submit infrastructural reports within the stipulated time.
∎ Coordination, networking and advocacy:
∎ Liaise with local government representatives/administration, authorities at camp level and different committees at host communities to coordinate the shelter/NFI interventions and avoid duplication
∎ Participate different cluster coordination meetings, technical working group meetings at camp level.
∎ Capacity Strengthening:
∎ Manage and build technical capacities of the Field Facilitators to carry out their responsibilities properly.
∎ Assist in organizing and implementing technical training on shelter/NFI and site improvement issues.
∎ Facilitate field level technical training and orientation sessions to the beneficiaries, committees, contractors, masons, carpenters, etc.
∎ Participate in different trainings nominated by the line manager.
∎ Financial Management and logistics:
∎ Manage budget for the assigned project activities and ensure all expenses are according to budget and met standards regarding financial management.
∎ Monitor the proper use of materials, financial and human resources.
∎ Safety and Security:
∎ Responsible to put in place appropriate security and prevention measures during any distribution and implementation of project activities.
∎ Provide timely incident report to the line manager as needed.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Priority will be given to the candidates who have experience in Rohingya response.
∎ Professional requirements:
∎ Keep strong coordination with other implementing agencies and local governmental authorities at field level.
∎ Knowledge on computer operating system, estimation software and Auto CAD will get preference.
∎ Knowledge on different standards (Sphere, Core humanitarian standards, etc).
∎ Language:
∎ Fluent English skills (written, spoken and reading).
∎ Local language is an asset.
∎ Personal requirements:
∎ Willingness to accept frequent field missions. Driving motorbike with valid driving license.
∎ Ability to establish collaborative relationships with staff, beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
∎ Strong attitude to take initiative, work autonomously and achieve results effectively; Flexibility and Stress-management.
Salary:
∎ Starting salary (consolidated) BDT. 65,000 + Conveyance + Air time + Field allowance
