Job Context:
∎ Report to: Head of Sales & Marketing/General Manager.
∎ Position Summary: We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing Assistant Sales Manager to assist in meeting our revenue growth targets by keeping our hotels innovative and competitive. You will be responsible for implementing Sales Action Plans related to each Market Segment as outlined in the Hotel`s Sales & Marketing Plan.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for Corporate and Travel Agent Room Sales for the hotel.
∎ Clear understanding of the hotels business strategies then set goals and to determine action plans to meet those goals.
∎ Update action plans and financial objectives quarterly and Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
∎ Implements all sales action plans related to my market areas as outlined in the marketing plan.
∎ Conducts daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients.
∎ Work closely with Revenue Manager to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
∎ Accompany sales team on sales calls to potential clients to assist in development of the account and to access the effectiveness and sales skills of the sales person.
∎ Acquiring and developing new business accounts and preparing sales proposals for clients.
∎ Interpret data obtained from market research/survey to produce results useful in taking effective business decisions
∎ Contact potential customers through emails, calls, and home visits to create product/service awareness and Targeting key accounts potential for the company.
∎ Able to provide Quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, develop professional long term business relationships.
∎ Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g. CVGR, generating proposal, Corporate Rate Application letter, writing contract, customer correspondence).
∎ Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
∎ Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, trade shows, etc.
∎ Stay updated with latest marketing trends and competitor activities.
∎ Closely following up on all business leads within a 24 hour response time line to clients.
∎ Clear understanding of the hotels business strategies then set goals and to determine action plans to meet those goals.
∎ All other duties as directed by the Higher Management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Experience Requirements:
∎ Three to Four (3-4) years experience in relevant field, preferably in an upscale or in brand hotel.
∎ Additional Requirements:

∎ Be an excellent negotiator
∎ Effective communication skills dealing with both internal and external contacts.
∎ Attention to detail
∎ Computer skills for entering details onto the system,
∎ Ability to work independently and under pressure whilst prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
∎ Must have comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage, catering sales, conference service and marketing management experience, guest relations and etiquette.
∎ Basic understanding of legal contract language.
∎ Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English
∎ Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values.
∎ Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
∎ Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays subject to rota and a willingness to extend of change hours and days of work from time to time upon request and subject to operational requirements.
∎ Prerequisite

Salary: Negotiable
