Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Verification of all Financial Transactions
∎ Banking, Cash Handling, Processing Payments
∎ Fulfilling Audit Requirements
∎ Voucher Preparation§  Bookkeeping
∎ VDS & TDS Deduction as per Govt. Rules & Deposit to Govt. Treasury
∎ Bank Reconciliation Statement
∎ Financial Report Preparation
∎ Staff Mobile & Internet Allowance Processing
∎ Employee Salary Processing
∎ Casual Staff Salary Processing
∎ Procurement Compliance Verification
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the Management
∎ Verify financial transactions, activities, and documentation; take necessary corrective actions for financial compliance.
∎ Ensure regular accounting transactions and related project financial statements.
∎ Prepare reports, data and fulfilling requirements of donor, internal & external audits
∎ Manage banking operations, handle cash, and follow up on vendor payments according to Friendship’s financial guidelines.
∎ Prepare various vouchers including Debit, Credit, and Journal Vouchers.
∎ Maintain cash book, ledger book, and advance register for respective projects.
∎ Deduct VDS & TDS, ensuring compliance with government regulations
∎ Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
∎ Collect and preserve monthly bank statements and VDS-TDS challans in a timely manner.
∎ Monitor monthly budgeted expenses in relation to actual expenditures.
∎ Prepare monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly financial reports, accounts, transaction lists, expense reports, receipt & payment reports, and VDS & TDS reports for specific projects; share reports with the line manager.
∎ Collect staff mobile & internet allowance sheets from head office and disburse to respective staff.
∎ Collect employee salary sheets from head office and send bank advice to pay employee salary.
∎ Verify casual staff attendance sheets, prepare salary sheets, and disburse salaries through bank & cash.
∎ Verify and assist with procurement-related compliance.
∎ Respond to queries and requests from head office.
∎ Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
∎ Willingness and ability to work in hardship environment and remote area.
∎ Preferably Experience in Donor Reporting and facing Donor Audit.
∎ Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and accounting software.
∎ In-depth understanding of bookkeeping procedures.
∎ Solid knowledge of accounting regulations, IAS/IFRS, TAX, and VAT matters.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships work as a team.
∎ Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic.
∎ Time-management abilities, strong presentation and delivery skills.
∎ Should be a good leader and team player
∎ CA Partly Qualified/ CA (CC) from any reputed CA firm·
∎ MBA/ M. Com in Accounting/ Finance from any reputed University
∎ At least 2 years·
∎ The applicants should have experience in NGO/ Development Agency
