Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee the entire import process from order receipt to delivery.
∎ Coordinate with international clients to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
∎ Prepare, review, and manage import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
∎ Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.
∎ Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with clients to achieve customer satisfaction and timely deliveries.
∎ Address and resolve issues related to product quality, shipment delays, and other client concerns.
∎ Analyze and report on import-related expenses and budgets.
∎ Implement strategies to optimize the import supply chain and reduce lead times.
∎ Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential markets.
∎ Assist in developing and implementing import marketing strategies.
∎ Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promote the company’s products.
∎ Coordinate with the inventory management team to ensure adequate stock levels for import orders.
∎ Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to avoid shortages or excess stock.
∎ Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and obsolescence.
∎ Prepare regular reports on import activities, including shipment status, costs, and compliance issues.
∎ Analyze import data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
∎ Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
∎ Manage import reports such as sales reports daily basis, weekly and monthly, and all kinds of import-oriented modules required from management.
∎ Need strong knowledge about SAFTA, Customs handling, C&F Agent Communication, ERP software system run, Delivery Order, Import LC, Documentation Prepare and Reporting.
∎ Need to know about outlook knowledge.
∎ Others – as per business need.
