Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
∎ Ensure that financial reports are accurate and submitted on time.
∎ Help in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
∎ Assist in the preparation and management of budgets.
∎ Monitor budget expenditures and report variances.
∎ Participate in financial forecasting to predict future financial trends.
∎ Oversee the processing of invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
∎ Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
∎ Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
∎ Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
∎ Ensure that the company complies with financial regulations and laws.
∎ Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
∎ Oversee payroll processing to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
∎ Handle payroll tax reporting and compliance with local labor laws.
∎ Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns.
∎ Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and deadlines.
∎ Coordinate with tax advisors for accurate tax planning and strategy.
∎ Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
∎ Provide insights to senior management to aid in decision-making.
∎ Analyze cost structures and recommend cost-saving measures.
∎ Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
∎ Delegate tasks and monitor the performance of the team.
∎ Conduct training sessions to improve team efficiency and knowledge.
∎ Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
∎ Communicate financial information to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
∎ Coordinate with external parties such as auditors, banks, and vendors.
