Job Context:

Fortress Developments Ltd., a leading real estate developer in Bangladesh, is seeking a highly experienced and technically sound AGM – Structural Engineer to join its engineering team. The ideal candidate must have practical expertise in structural design, analysis, and supervision of high-rise residential and commercial construction, along with signatory authority for RAJUK and Cantonment Board .

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the structural engineering team for multiple high-rise projects.

• Review and approve all structural and architectural drawings; ensure version control and documentation.

• Conduct detailed structural analysis using ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, and related tools.

• Ensure all designs comply with BNBC, ACI, ASTM, and other relevant codes and standards.

• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and construction teams to ensure integrated design implementation.

• Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues during execution.

• Liaise with external consultants and vetting authorities for drawing submission and approval.

• Must have signatory authority with RAJUK and Cantonment Board for design vetting and approvals.

• Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality standards across all structural work.

• Prepare BOQs, material take-offs, and assist in budgeting and estimation.

Employment Status:

Educational Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (M.Sc. in Structural Engineering preferred)

• Must be a Member of IEB (Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh)

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in structural design and supervision

• Experience in real estate/construction companies, especially high-rise projects

• Experience with project approval processes in RAJUK and Cantonment Board

Additional Requirements:

• Age: 35 to 50 years (flexible for deserving candidates)

• Strong leadership, coordination, and decision-making skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, MS Excel, and project documentation tools

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Job Location:

Dhaka (Primarily at Head Office; visits to project sites as required)
