∎ Strong communication skills in both Bengali and English, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
∎ Proven ability to manage a team and work effectively under deadlines.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
∎ Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Bangladesh Financial Reporting Standards (BFRS).
∎ Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss accounts on a regular basis.
∎ Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including Income Tax, VAT, and Customs Duty as per the National Board of Revenue (NBR) requirements.
∎ Prepare, review, and submit tax filings accurately and on time, including VAT returns, Advance Tax, and Tax Deduction at Source (TDS).
∎ Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax efficiency in line with local tax laws.
∎ Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
∎ Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on financial performance and present insights and recommendations to senior management.
∎ Develop annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
∎ Coordinate and manage external and internal audits, liaising with auditors to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
∎ Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets, minimize risk, and ensure the integrity of financial information.
∎ Monitor regulatory updates and maintain compliance with changing financial laws and regulations in Bangladesh.
∎ Lead and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals, providing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
∎ Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring the team meets all deadlines and performs at a high level.

∎ We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Accounts Manager to join our finance team in Bangladesh. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Bangladesh’s tax laws, accounting standards, and reporting requirements, along with the ability to manage a team effectively and work cross-functionally.
