∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Bengali and English.
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with compliance software.
∎ Good Communication and Negotiation skills are required.
∎ Self-Driven and required "can do" attitude.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure all products, processes, and practices meet local and international regulatory standards for agricultural production, including pesticide use, fertilizer application, seed regulations, and environmental impact.
∎ Stay updated on changes in agro-based regulatory policies in Bangladesh, and update internal policies and processes to remain compliant.
∎ Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies, risk management strategies and address regulatory risks.
∎ Oversee the registration and certification processes for seeds, pesticides, fertilizers, and other agricultural products with relevant authorities, including the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), Bangladesh Crop Protection Association (BCPA) & Bangladesh Fertilizer Association (BFA).
∎ Ensure all product labeling, packaging, and marketing materials meet regulatory requirements and obtain necessary approvals.
∎ Coordinate with quality assurance teams to maintain certifications such as GMP, ISO, or other relevant industry standards.
∎ Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies such as the Ministry of Agriculture.
∎ Act as the company’s representative in regulatory discussions, inspections, and audits, addressing any compliance-related inquiries.
∎ Manage the timely submission of licenses, permits, and renewal applications to ensure uninterrupted operations.
∎ Maintain comprehensive records of regulatory filings, compliance reports, certifications, and communication with regulatory authorities.
∎ Prepare and submit periodic compliance reports, environmental assessments, and other required documentation.
∎ Ensure transparency in documentation.
∎ Must have work experience in the seed processing and all pesticide development at the field level. (Example: Product demos at field level, officer guidelines about products & field meeting etc.)
∎ Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and transporters to arrange timely and cost-effective import/export shipments.
∎ Manage end-to-end logistics processes, including shipping documentation, customs clearance, and delivery coordination.
∎ Track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any logistical issues that may arise.
∎ Ensure compliance with Bangladesh’s import/export regulations, customs requirements, and relevant trade laws.
∎ Prepare and verify required shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
∎ Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ We are looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Senior Regulatory Officer to join our team in Bangladesh. The Senior Regulatory Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our agricultural products and operations comply with local and international regulations, including safety, environmental, and quality standards. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the Bangladeshi agro-regulatory landscape, expertise in compliance management, and the ability to work closely with governmental and regulatory bodies to safeguard our company’s interests and support sustainable business practices.
