Job Purpose
The Area Sales Manager (Rice) will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distribution networks, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening customer relationships in the rice market. The role requires strong leadership, market knowledge, and strategic planning skills to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company’s rice sales targets (B2B, wholesale)
Identify new market opportunities and expand distribution channels.
Prepare annual sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
Business Development & Market Expansion
Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, distributors, institutional buyers.
Conduct market research to understand consumer trends, pricing dynamics, and competitor activities.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
Lead, mentor, and monitor the sales team to ensure target achievement.
Train sales staff in negotiation, client management, and product knowledge.
Set clear KPIs and performance evaluation metrics for sales executives.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Ensure customer satisfaction through timely delivery, quality assurance, and competitive pricing.
Resolve customer issues, complaints, and disputes effectively.
Develop long-term partnerships with key accounts.
Sales Operations & Compliance
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain & production for timely order fulfilment.
