Job Context:
∎ Immediate supervisor: Project Manager
∎ Contract period: 01.1.2023 to 30.11.2025 (35 months)
∎ Proposed start date:1 st of January 2023
∎ Location: Chokoria under Cox`s Bazar & Sitakundu under Chittagong
∎ Name of Project: Enhancing Food and Nutrition Security Through Promoting Climate Resilient Livelihood Opportunities and DRR Practice in Cox`s Bazar and Chittagong
∎ The Agriculture and Livestock Office will be responsible for conduct and organizing all Agriculture and Livestock related activities of the project. S/he will act as technical officer Agriculture and livestock related activities of the project. Responsible to organize and facilitate several agro based training and workshop, establish agriculture demonstration firm, farmers field schools, develop resources farmers, seed bank, technical support to farmers, effective network and coordination with sever agriculture stakeholders etc. as per requirement of the project.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical support on homestead gardening like - sack gardening, kite gardening, rhizome basket ready compost, grafting & budding mixed cropping seasonal vegetable etc.
∎ Provide training capacity and skill building training to the Resource Farmers (RF), Livestock Service Provider (LSP) and extension worker.
∎ Facilitating and conducting training (Goat Rearing/Vegetable Gardening/ off and on farm, Handicraft/Block-Batiks/Basic Computer Literacy/Packaging/Nursery/Seed Preservation/Small business/Mobile Servicing etc.) and workshop and training module development;
∎ Technical support to the farmers/owners of demonstration firm.
∎ Support and regular monitoring of Farmers Field Schools (FFS)
∎ Develop module for several agriculture and livestock related training
∎ Organize and facilitate several agro based training and workshop,
∎ Close coordination with Govt. Agriculture and livestock department.
∎ Your day to day activities supervise by Project Manager
∎ Conduct Need assessment of beneficiaries
∎ Participate in designing training programs based on needs assessments.
∎ Participate in the development of the training module.
∎ Assist the Team in organizing and delivering field-level activities/training and workshops.
∎ Attend all workshops and pieces of training organized for beneficiaries and staff.
∎ Strengthen and establish a community-level group to support business and provide linkage with key stakeholders
∎ Liaise with local level industries/institutes/Department of Agriculture and livestock
∎ Provide access to skills training for beneficiaries, including local market skills, skills for economic infrastructure, and internationally recognized skills qualifications
∎ Have skills in multi-layer team management, facility management, business operational analysis, business correspondence, and cross-cultural communications
∎ On and off-farm intervention for creating livelihood opportunities for women living in poverty;
∎ Market linkage and maintain linkage and networking with different stakeholders and networks;
∎ Assist Project Manager in any other issue.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ 5 years working experience on project management and among them at least 3 years of experience in similar position.
∎ Experience of in the sector of Agriculture, Livelihood, DRR and Climate change management
∎ Proven experience on quality report writing skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Skill on training organizing & facilitation.
∎ Previous work experience in refugee camps
∎ Previous work experience in emergency settings
∎ Sound knowledge and practical experience on establish agriculture demonstration firms, farmer's field schools, develop resources farmers, seed bank, integrated farming system, homestead agriculture, kitchen garden, livestock etc.
∎ Ability to communicate with local level stakeholders including government departments, local govt. and civil society organizations.
∎ Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
∎ Exceptional verbal & written communication and presentation skills.
∎ Proven skills and competencies to work with MS/ Excel, MS Access, SPSS is preferable
∎ Have knowledge on qualitative and quantitative M&E system, large data based management, monitoring of Agriculture, livelihood, DRR and climate change
∎ Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, etc.
∎ Skilled in computer literacy; report writing, strategy planning and others related documentation
∎ Demonstrated ability for people management
∎ A team player; committed to motivating and leading staff
∎ Clear understanding of the working of major donors and their perspective, requirements and standard
∎ Able to work and manage in a hardship post and willingness to frequently travel in and out of field

Salary: Tk. 47000 (Monthly)
