Chartered Accountancy Certificate Course or FCA will get preferred.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Extensive knowledge of financial and tax regulations in Bangladesh.

Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Proven experience in Head of Finance & Accounts, strategic planning, financial analysis, and corporate finance.

Proficiency in financial management software.



Responsibilities & Context:

Strategic Financial Planning & Leadership

  • Formulate and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s real estate development and investment goals.

  • Advise top management on financial implications of business decisions (e.g., land purchases, new projects, JV agreements).

  • Assist in feasibility analysis, investment modeling, and ROI calculations for new projects.

Project Financing & Fund Management

  • Manage funding for real estate projects through banks, NBFCs, private equity, or internal accruals.

  • Evaluate and negotiate term sheets, loan agreements, and project financing terms.

  • Monitor drawdowns, repayments, interest schedules, and compliance with loan covenants.

  • Maintain healthy relationships with financial institutions, investors, and lenders.

Cost & Budgetary Control

  • Prepare and monitor project-wise budgets including land, construction, marketing, and overhead costs.

  • Track actual costs vs. budgets across all development stages; ensure cost overruns are controlled.

  • Work with project and procurement teams to optimize costs without compromising quality or timelines.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS).

  • Supervise month-end and year-end closings, consolidation of group accounts, and inter-company reconciliations.

  • Provide project-wise profitability reports, cash flow forecasts, and MIS for decision-making.

Revenue Recognition & Sales Accounting

  • Implement proper revenue recognition practices as per applicable standards (e.g., Ind AS 115).

  • Monitor collection schedules, invoicing, and account receivables from customers.

  • Liaise with the sales and CRM teams to ensure timely billing and receivables follow-up.

Compliance, Taxation & Regulatory Affairs

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including:

    • RERA

    • GST (Input Tax Credit management, filings, reconciliations)

    • Income Tax (TDS, corporate filings)

    • Stamp Duty & Registration

  • Handle tax planning, assessments, audits, and coordination with tax consultants and legal advisors.

  • Ensure timely completion of statutory audits, internal audits, and RERA audits.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

  • Oversee daily cash management, fund allocation across projects, and working capital optimization.

  • Plan for short-term and long-term cash requirements based on project schedules and payment obligations.

ERP & Financial Systems

  • Oversee implementation and management of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime, or real estate-specific platforms).

  • Ensure project accounting and cost data is accurately captured.

  • Drive automation and digitalization of financial processes.

Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Lead, train, and mentor finance and accounts teams across multiple locations/projects.

  • Coordinate with departments like Projects, Legal, Sales, Procurement, and CRM for financial support and integration.

  • Act as financial advisor to senior management and project heads.

Stakeholder Reporting & Board Communication

  • Prepare and present financial performance dashboards, forecasts, and risk analyses to the board.

  • Handle investor reporting, bank MIS, and compliance certifications.
