Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with Post Graduate Diploma on Personal/Human Resource management
∎ At least 4-5 years of experience in management, Administrator or similar role in any reputed national or international NGO/ academic / research-based institution on similar position.
∎ Proven experience working in an office environment and working knowledge of business management.

Job Context:
∎ OSHE is a specialized labour foundation based in Dhaka that promotes Labour Standards, Decent and Green Jobs in Bangladesh. We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced person at our oganisation for the position of Admin Officer.
∎ Position: Admin Officer
∎ Location: Mirpur, Dhaka
∎ Deadline for application: 15 March 2023
∎ Start date: March 2023 or upon agreement
∎ Contract duration: Fixed-term contract max. until February 2026
∎ Overview of the Project:
∎ The project "Building a Sustainable Leather Sector in Bangladesh" is a three-year project implemented by Bangladesh Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE) partnership with Solidar Suisse in the leather sector in Bangladesh. The action is focused on strengthening civil society in Bangladesh by creating a CSO platform in the leather sector for occupational safety and health (OSH) and environmental protection, bringing together trade unions and CSOs in a participatory process. It aims at a sustainable leather industry which would emerge from active engagement at different points along the chain- right from the grassroots with different CSOs, workers and trade unions, to the high rungs of government, international institutions and employers and brands.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist with the day-to-day operations of the office, organize project event, research and deliver on delegated activities.
∎ Coordinate and liaise with management, different vendors and facilitate procurement procedures in accordance with organizational and donor policy.
∎ Prepare and organise HR and admin related documents, assist in programme file management and external audit compliance.
∎ Assist with the onboarding and installation of new staff members including personnel related matters.
∎ Support payroll processing including file and record keeping and logistics and procurement lead, facilitate compliance.
∎ Develop and maintain electronic and manual filling systems and procedures and draft routine correspondence, manage office inventory, and access cards related to office facilities.
∎ Provide logistical and other support for internal and external events, visits, contacts, and services.
∎ Organizing administrative and logistical aspects of office activities and events, including workshops, meetings and book the meeting rooms accordingly.
∎ Manage and monitor the availability of accessories, equipment, stationery, office supplies, office stock and placing orders as required.
∎ Ensure timely payments for operational costs such as rent, service fees, utilities, and any organizational memberships.
∎ Creating, updating, and maintaining records and databases and Updating policies and procedures as required.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Hard working and ability to work independently and as part of a project team under pressure and meet deadlines.
∎ Fluency in Bangla and English.
∎ A mature outlook and deep commitment towards working with the NGO.
∎ Ability to draft official letters, memos and communication tools and sound computer Typing ability in English and Bangla.
∎ Sound writing, reporting and documentation skill in Bangla and English language.
∎ Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, sound IT skill and the ability to multitask.
