Job Context:
∎ Agrajattra is a national uplifting NGO based in Cox’s Bazar. It is working since 1998 in Bangladesh. Currently it is working diversified donor’s funded project. Among them IRC is prime donor of AGRAJATTAR and funding for child protection since 2021. Very recently AGRAJATTA has been signed an Agreement with IRC for implementing “LAST MILE EDUCATION” Project. It is mentioned able that One of the impacts of COVID-19 is that an unprecedented 1.6 billion students across the world have been out of school; however, 258 million children were already out of school before the pandemic. The impact of COVID-19 has been also found in Bangladesh to drop out the children from both primary and secondary education. Cox’s Bazar district is very leg-behind in education rather than others district of Bangladesh and dropout rate from primary education is highest compared that others district.
∎ In response to this crisis, we will implement an innovative program in Bangladesh that reaches last-mile children and parents, and caregivers, providing them with quality education solutions. Our approach to reaching these last-mile children with a quality education has three areas of focus:
∎ 1. Meet children where they are both physically and cognitively, with flexible, student-centered learning that they can access in or close to their homes.
∎ 2. Break down barriers to school entry and support children’s integration into schools once they are ready; and
∎ 3. Prepare schoolteachers to integrate children with specific needs into their classrooms and equip teachers and students for future school disruption.
∎ This project will cover both Ramu and Moheskhali upazila under Cox’s Bazar District. AGRAJATTRA and IRC have entered in a partnership to respond to ensure quality education with platform-based localized and scalable solutions for last-mile learners and caregivers in crisis-affected areas in Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall responsibility of managing financial resources of the project;
∎ Maintain and update books of accounts of the project;
∎ Develop annually, quarterly and monthly budgets and financial reports of the project such as Receipt and Payment Statement, Income and Expenditure Statement, Trial Balance, Budget and Expenditure Summary Report, Bank Reconciliation Statement, Balance Sheet, etc.
∎ Handling, filing and preserving bills and vouchers of the project;
∎ Maintaining financial transaction, adjustments, charges including banking;
∎ Process facilitation and providing support in procurement of project's goods and services in compliance with donor rules and requirements;
∎ Providing administrative & secretarial service to project team including maintaining of different registers;
∎ Other duties related to logistics and procurement, as assigned by the Program Director
∎ Budget Management and value for money consideration for project
∎ Assist activities managers with compiling, managing, monitoring, and tracking budget (e.g. organizing invoices, checks, & other financials) and preparing financial/funding reports, when deemed necessary.
∎ Work with the program team to ensure budget compliance.
∎ Administration and activity management
∎ Ensure proper function of logistical operations including travel & events organization
∎ Ensure proper function of archive and documentation system
∎ Ensure maintenance of up-to-date register of assets
∎ Work with the program team to forecast financial transaction needs and support in identification and recruitment of vendors based on project rules and regulations.
∎ Lead interactions with external vendors for ensuring quality of goods and supplies in the project
∎ Monthly bank reconciliation and prepare financial report of donor as per compliance cotext
∎ Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/management/ donor end.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Additional certifications that exemplify a desire for continued education preferred
∎ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
∎ Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem-solving
∎ Able to proactively address potential issues
∎ Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
∎ Significant hands-on experience with industry-specific software
