Experience:
Minimum Masters in Commerce, preferable in Finance/Accounting
Minimum 2 years in any reputed national/ international NGOs. However, experience may be relaxed for the otherwise deserving candidate.
Knowledge on accounting software and experience in accounting of Not-for-profit sector in Bangladesh
Knowledge on internal control system;
Good knowledge on budget and budgetary control;
Computer skill (word processing, spreadsheet or other FMIS);
Good written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla;
Knowledge on general administration;
Ability to plan and ensure optimum use of available resources;
NETZ Partnership for Development and Justice is an international organisation based in Bangladesh and Germany. We are seeking a new colleague for the position of “Accounts Officer”. This is a entry-level position with the responsibility for recording transations, vouching, keeping accounts, and financial reporting of the organization. The Accounts Officer will be based at the NETZ Bangladesh Office in Dhaka and is reportable to the Head of Finance and Administration of NETZ BO.
Major Role:
The major role of the Accounts Officer is to keep books of accounts, ensure a standard control system, ensure compliances of donors and Bangladesh Government, and prepare financial report of NETZ Bangladesh Office
Specific Responsibilities:
Prepare bill voucher of the Bangladesh Office expenses.
Give accounting entry in the accounting software
Maintain bank accounts, ensure payments to internal and all externals
Ensure VAT and Tax as applicable
Calculation of shared cost
Preparation of Pay roll in time
Prepare and Check invoices and vouchers
Provide charging information during voucher produces
to review and check accounting transactions to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date
Deal all audits of NETZ Bangladesh Office
Assist the Head of Finance and Administration as and when required.
