Responsibilities & Context:

Daily Revenue Reconciliation

  • Verify and reconcile daily revenue reports from the front office, restaurants, and other outlets.
  • Cross-check cash, credit card, and POS transactions with actual receipts.

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Process payments to vendors and suppliers.
  • Match purchase orders (POs) with invoices and delivery notes.
  • Ensure timely settlement of utility bills, food & beverage suppliers, laundry, etc.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Generate and send invoices to corporate clients, travel agents, or event organizers.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Manage city ledger accounts.

Payroll Processing

  • Coordinate with HR to process salaries, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and labor laws.

Bank Reconciliation

  • Reconcile hotel bank statements with internal records on a regular basis.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing budgets for different departments.
  • Provide financial insights for forecasting occupancy, revenue, and expenses.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Report financial performance to hotel management or ownership.

Internal Controls & Audit

  • Implement checks to prevent fraud and mismanagement.
  • Support internal or external audits.

Inventory Management

  • Work with the procurement and F&B departments to monitor inventory levels and costs.
  • Conduct periodic stock audits and variance analysis.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Handle VAT/GST, income tax, service charges, and other local tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
