- Diploma in Radiologic Technology.
- Valid certification/license (e.g., ARRT, state/provincial license, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiographic techniques.
- Proficiency in operating X-ray and digital imaging equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities & Context:
- Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Prepare patients for imaging (explain procedures, position correctly, provide protective shielding).
- Operate X-ray and related imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols (ALARA principle).
- Evaluate images for quality, clarity, and diagnostic value.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging logs in PACS/RIS systems.
- Assist radiologists in special imaging procedures when needed.
- Monitor, maintain, and report issues with radiology equipment.
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality policies.
- Provide compassionate patient care and reassurance during procedures.
