Experience:

Ability to work in remote and challenging environments like Bhasan Char.

Job Summary
Prottyashi, A social development organization has been responding the Rohingya Crisis in Cox`s Bazar since the crisis started and currently is implementing a project in the Rohingya community in Bhasan Char Island with the funding of International Organization of Migration (IOM). Prottyashi invites applications for the vacant position titled- Cash for Work Officer for the “Building Community Resilience through improved livelihood opportunities in Bhasan Char Island” Project. The Cash for Work Officer will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, and reporting of CFW activities under the project. This includes beneficiary selection, supervision of daily work, record-keeping, gender and protection mainstreaming, and coordination with relevant sectors and stakeholders.
Reporting
Cash for Work Officer will report to Project Coordinator of the project. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams and organization’s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation
Lead the planning and execution of CFW activities in line with project objectives and guidelines.
Ensure proper identification, registration, and verification of 225 beneficiaries, ensuring gender and disability inclusion.
Assign daily work tasks in consultation with sector leads and ensure all tasks are safe and suitable, especially for women and PWDs.
Ensure all beneficiaries work 4 hours per day, 22 days per month, over the 3-month CFW cycle.
Monitoring and Supervision
Conduct daily field visits to supervise CFW activities and ensure quality and timeliness.
Maintain muster rolls and attendance sheets, and collect all necessary documentation to support payments.
Monitor and report on any protection or safety issues encountered during activities and ensure quick resolution in coordination with the Protection focal person.
Financial Management and Documentation
Coordinate with the Finance/Admin team to ensure timely and accurate payments to beneficiaries.
Maintain and archive all financial and administrative documents, including payment records, timesheets, and PRs.
Ensure compliance with donor guidelines and be ready to share all relevant documents upon request.
Coordination and Reporting
Liaise with CiC, RRRC, Bangladesh Navy, and relevant sectors (WASH, Shelter, Health, DRR) for smooth operation.
Support in linking beneficiaries with other sectoral CFW opportunities beyond the project’s duration.
Prepare and submit monthly progress reports, beneficiary updates, and activity summaries to the Project Coordinator.
Gender and Protection
Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful working environment, adhering to gender-sensitive and protection-focused approaches.
Ensure the complaint and feedback mechanism (CFM) is functional and accessible to all.
Incorporate gender, disability, and protection considerations in all planning and execution phases.

Salary and benefits: Monthly Gross Salary will be 52,954 BDT contributory provident fund 2,066, Monthly bonus 4,980 and regular traveling and communication bill.
