Job Context:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Highlights of Key Responsibilities:
∎ Will ensure quality, confidential, and appropriate implementation of women's economic empowerment activities relating to implementation of women's economic rights and strategies, engendering the economic development process and entrepreneurship initiatives.
∎ Ensure that women's economic empowerment activities adhere to a women-, girl- and survivor-centered and feminist approach and that staff are supported to build and strengthen their practice in this area;
∎ Plan activities under the objectives of economic empowerment and lead the selection process of the beneficiaries including developing the Beneficiary Selection Criteria. As the economic empowerment programme focal point, ensure oversight on quality and timely management and reporting of activities implemented.
∎ Ensure that ethical and sound data collection and information management is implemented for appropriate data analysis, planning, evaluation, and advocacy, working closely with Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team
∎ Conduct field visits and need to monitor the implementation of trainings and other initiatives and provide guidance and technical assistance to the project team and beneficiaries.
∎ Ensure quality and timely implementation of the planned activities.
∎ Be on top of the budget for economic empowerment activities and ensure that budget expenditures are in accordance with the agreed plan meet all the compliances.
∎ Take initiatives to develop training modules on different trades for the target beneficiaries and as per need.
∎ Serve as the resource person for the economic empowerment initiatives and provide economic empowerment activities updates to the management on the interventions
∎ Organize/or directly facilitate the trainings and workshops for/with the beneficiaries on the issues around women's economic participation and skills development.
∎ Maintain close coordination with the relevant sector/stakeholders in the camps/project catchment area for the implementation of economic empowerment activities
∎ As and when requested, give presentations on different forums to stakeholders on the interventions of YPSA's programmes and initiatives in the economic empowerment area.
∎ Work with women to develop their traditional skills for production of items geared towards primarily the market demands as alternative income generating activities that they can pursue from their homes.
∎ Create marker linkages with existing local traders and/or sellers to collect and sell the products in the local market.
∎ Conduct eight weekly gender group discussions engaging women and their spouses on three main topics including household economy and women's contributions, communication and negotiation, and planning and decision-making.

∎ Experience Requirement:
∎ Minimum 3 years' experience needed in the field of livelihood development or economic development
∎ Professional experience in advocacy, networking and policy development
∎ Experience in implementing activities for women and girls or proven engagement in women's rights/groups - highly desirabl
∎ Competencies: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
∎ Candidate must be able to demonstrate a clear and genuine willingness to work in women and girl's protection and empowerment issue is essential
∎ Good understanding and experience on women's economic empowerment, enterprise development, livelihood or employment creation for women and promoting gender at the community level
∎ Experience in planning, budgeting, work plans development, participating in program development and proposal writing, projects implementation, monitoring, reporting, evaluation and program coordination;
∎ Capacity to do market assessment and market linkage development
∎ Good idea about supply chain management
∎ Skills in training facilitation and organize
∎ Clear understanding of the effect/impact of women's economic participation on development and the ways to address those issues to enhance women's participation in these process
∎ An understanding of the legal, social, cultural, and political context of the host and Rohingya community and its relation to gender
∎ Ability to write reports and develop contents of Information, Education and Communication (IEC)materials
∎ Proficiency in the use of computer, office software packages
∎ Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines and deliver quality work products
∎ Must be willing to do extensive field visit.
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a multi-cultural setting
∎ Deep understanding of the impact and dynamics of male violence against women and girls, and solid grounding in feminist, women and girl-centered, anti-oppressive practice;
∎ Strong ability to respect differences of culture, opinion and lived experiences while upholding rights-based principles and women's protection and empowerment;
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills, positive and professional attitude, ability to lead and work well in a team setting
∎ Strengths in listening, empathy, flexibility, and creativity;
∎ Language Preference:
∎ Fluency in English language -essential
∎ Chittagongian/Rohingya dialect - essential

Salary:
∎ Monthly consolidated Salary: TK.60,000
