Educational Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ TEAM/PROGRAMME : SDA-MNCH in Coastal Bangladesh (funded by MAC-P , Concern Worldwide) LOCATION : Upazila Level
∎ POST TYPE : 100% (Project Base/ Contractual) GRADE : Level-7
∎ ROLE PURPOSE:WASH Officerof SDA-MNCH in Coastal Bangladeshproject is a key position for its WASH component and WASH Related Program implementation. He/ She well manage and implement project activities in program areas for community wash behaviour improvement especially in software application.This position will also ensure the project wash achievement related to program through assessment, development and mobilize community to develop their WASH facilities.

∎ Reports to:Project Coordinator(PC)
∎ Dotted line management:Project Operational Focal of SDA-MNCH, RMANCAH Specialist and Donor and other Partner organization
∎ Dimensions:60% of field visit required
∎ Staff directly reporting to this post: N/A
∎ Functional relationship: Director, Manager-Operations of SDA- MNCH,Finance, Admin& Logistics Officer
Job Responsibilities:
∎ KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
∎ Initiate, guide, facilitate and support the implementation of projects under the WASH portfolio to ensure quality outputs.
∎ Mobilise community for WASH facilities development for healthy society build up.
∎ Ensure the health and safety policy of is adhered to during construction and support project teams on this matter.
∎ Act as contact person for all technical aspects, water quality issues, and technical monitoring of the projects.
∎ Identify and support the implementation of context-specific WASH technologies for the assigned area.
∎ Assess the performance of different water and sanitation technologies and pilot initiatives.
∎ Document learning from various initiatives and disseminate the same to respective teams.
∎ Support the team in planning, reviewing programme/ project plan and budget.
∎ Develop relevant operational and technical guidelines and modules for WASH interventions for the front-line staff, community leaders and other stakeholders.
∎ Develop the capacity of partners' engineers and other relevant personnel on operation and maintenance.
∎ Support to ensure smooth and effective implementation of the projects.
∎ Prepare field visit/ follow-up report and share it with the relevant partners and supervisor.
∎ Contribute to the preparation of periodic project reports and documents as per internal requirements, donors and other stakeholders.
∎ Support and Coordinate with other teams to ensure providing necessary support to the partner and community organisations on their needs and analysis/study report.

∎ QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
∎ ESSENTIAL
∎ Working Experience: At least 5years' experience in WASH program component at community level in rural/urban setting. Coastal base wash activity implementing experience will added more value
∎ Knowledge: Should have clear concept on WASH Program implementation, documentation, communication and dissemination.
∎ Skills:
∎ Excellent communication skills both in English and Bengali
∎ Should have ability to interpret report writing skills in English
∎ Should be proficient in computer operation, particularly, inMS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint
