∎ BACKGROUND OF GONOSHASTHAYA KENDRA AND THE PROJECT:
∎ Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) is a National NGO. GK registered as a Public Charitable Trust in 1972 and started with two visions (a) "the fate of the poor decides fate of the country, and (b) "development of the country depends on development of women."
∎ GK has been active in responding to all significant natural disasters in Bangladesh since 1972 through the mobilization of its own and foreign resources. GK provided food aid, lifesaving medicine and treatments in its operational Upazila during flood of 1987, 1988, 2000, Tornado: 1989, Cyclone and tidal surge: 1985 1991, 1994, Cyclone SIDR 2007, Cyclone AILA 2009 in its operational areas.
∎ GK has experienced partnership with several UN agencies, INGOs, such as UNDP, UNHCR, WFP, WHO, World Bank, European Union, UNHCR, Christian Aid, Action Aid, We Social Movement, French Support Committee, Save the Children, Plan Bangladesh, Medico International and many others.
∎ GK is managing 43 health centers in 19 districts, two hospitals of 250 beds, the largest dialysis center in Bangladesh where 100 people could be treated simultaneously. GK is running one University, Medical College, Dental College, Medical Technical School, Pharmaceutical Industry and a Vocational training school providing short, long and customized courses for distressed women. GK has awarded numerous national and international awards for its work on health and disaster response.
∎ Gonoshasthaya Kendra Bangladesh and its partner Malteser International are two humanitarian organizations in Bangladesh that have been working on emergency programs since September 2017, post-emergency and development. GK is currently implementing a project funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and Malteser International (MI) of "Improving the health and nutritional situation of refugees in Cox`s Bazaar and contributing to the peaceful coexistence of refugee and host communities". The goal of this project is to improve the health, nutrition, and psychosocial status of refugees while assisting host communities through health education in community level.
∎ Job Location-The primary work location will be the GK Warehouse in Cox`s bazar.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall responsibilities:
∎ Under the supervision of Medical Coordinator, the Warehouse Officer (Pharmacist) will be responsible for the following main activities:
∎ Implementing an effective stock management
∎ Reception and preparation of orders
∎ Collection, computerization and analysis of drugs consumption
∎ Support to GK-MI Project
∎ Reporting and attendance to different meetings
∎ Implementing a quality drugs supply system
∎ Main tasks and responsibilities:
∎ Implementing an effective stock management
∎ Create a pharmacy with appropriate storage, receiving and packing space and allowing to conduct a full medical inventory
∎ Organize the drugs storage according to international standards (route of administration, alphabetical order of International Non-proprietary Name, FEFO principle, clear labeling with INN + dosage + pharmaceutical form + expiry date)
∎ Organize drugs and medical supplies for easy distribution and appropriate stock movement records
∎ Organize a monthly physical inventory & provide the stock balance at the end of each month to GK
∎ Monitor temperature of the warehouse fridge and Ac on a daily basis
∎ Drugs and items goods storage
∎ Maintain up to date drug and medical items register and submit monthly to the Medical Coordinator.
∎ Ensure proper systematic arrangement of the warehouse and maintenance of stock cards.
∎ Ensure proper cold chain monitoring of the warehouse fridge.
∎ Update and maintain the warehouse stock review tool.
∎ Follow up on equipment movement from one stock/base to another
∎ Conduct an inventory check every 3 months or and at the end of the Projects and submit the inventory check report
∎ Reception and preparation of orders
∎ Order reception:
∎ Check quantities and quality of the received items
∎ Make out an acknowledgement of receipt
∎ Integrate all the items into physical stock
∎ Fill in the stock cards for all the items as the electronic file (Excel)
∎ Order preparation:
∎ Prepare and distribute the drugs according to the field requests and projects needs
∎ Check the rationality of the requests
∎ Pack supply requests from the supported facilities in a timely way
∎ Update the stock cards and the electronic file according to the stock movements
∎ Provide a feedback to Medical Coordinaor in case of any problem with the orders
∎ Implementing a quality drugs supply system in line with national and international standards
∎ Participate in the analysis of needs, preparation of regular forecasts, calculation of replenishment orders and buffer stocks and initiating timely procurement of medical supplies.
∎ Anticipate needs for medical supplies and alertas soon as the buffer stock will be used.
∎ Collection, computerization and analysis of drugs consumption
∎ Ensure that updated stock and consumption records can be provided upon request for any reporting.
∎ Assist in development and implementation of drug consumption tools in supported clinics.
∎ Collect the drugs consumption data and do the computerization to ensure their analysis.
∎ Monitor the drugs consumption by establishing/maintaining mechanisms of consumption record and inform Project Coordinator in case of any unusual consumption.
∎ Support to GK-MI, Health Post
∎ Collaborate closely with and build the capacities of field Pharmacist of supported clinics
∎ Upon request, organize trainings on drug prescription and drug rationalisation for medical staff
∎ Help to assess needs in supported clinics to drugs storage and dispensation. Propose and fulfill any necessary changes required
∎ Reporting and Participant to different meetings
∎ Maintain a good working relationship with finance, HR, Log and medical departments.
∎ Participate to internal meetings, outside meetings, and weekly meetings with Malteser International donor.
∎ Participate in FMC (Forecasted monthly consumption) estimation meeting and provide the data from the consumption tool.
∎ Do field visits and monitor the use of field consumption tool done by field pharmacist.
∎ Write monthly consumption analysis report submit to Medical Coordinator.
∎ Prepare a weekly activities report to submit to Medical Coordinator
∎ Compile and archive drug consumptions per month
∎ Participate in a pro-active way to different meetings.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 (Five) Years of Experience in Warehouse Management in I/NGOs with Humanitarian and Development Sectors.
