PSTC has been implementing the community mobilization program in terms of increase adoption of healthy behavior and practices by families and communities through effective BCC and media reaches. The project goal is to contribute to sustained improvements in the health status of women, children, and families in Bangladesh by increasing access to and demand for essential health products and services using social marketing tools and concepts through the private sector. The main objectives of the program is to promoting healthy behaviors among Married Women of Reproductive Age (MWRA) and caregivers of children under five, to increase awareness of health and hygiene practices among adolescents, disseminate knowledge among newlywed couples on family planning, the importance of Healthy Timing and Spacing of Pregnancy (HTSP) and to raise mass awareness by organizing events such as the Mela/Campaign and observing special days through rallies, discussions, and other innovative activities.

Job Location: Shariatpur-2 (Sadar-1, Zajira-1) Narayanganj-2 (Araihazar-1, Sonargaon-1)

Responsibilities:

• Overall responsible for the implementation of the project at respective upazillas and union levels.
• Working communities visit and support to CM for preparing of area wise location map
• Organize Advocacy meetings and orientations of TBAs and Community Influential persons
• Support to CM for identifying of target beneficiaries
• Provide technical support to CM for disseminating message related to family planning methods and materials
• Support to CM for Primary selection of Community Agents
• Ensure quality and timely implementation of the project activities at upazillas and union level
• Supervise and monitor the staff and activities of the Community Mobilizers (CM) at field level
• Progress monitoring of Community Agents through periodical field visit.
• Organize Advocacy meetings and orientations of TBAs and Community Influential persons
• Coordination, communication and rapport building respective stakeholders at union level
• Responsible for the implementation of overall IEC and BCC related activities of the project at community level
• Maintain regular communication with sales department of SMC at district & upazila level.
• Collect, check and compile data/information from CMs
• Prepare periodical reports timely with quality
• Assists to District Team Leader for compiling the monthly, quarterly and annual work plan and reports
• Responsible for keeping and maintain the community mobilization relevant documents
