Job Context:
∎ RDRS Bangladesh is inviting applications to the position titled ‘Upazila Education Coordinator’ to be filled out immediately. In partnership with Sesame Workshop Bangladesh, RDRS Bangladesh will implement the school and community interventions of the project USAID’s Promoting Education for Early Learners Activity funded by USAID Bangladesh. The project goal is, children in the early grades in the primary schools, particularly those from marginalized groups, will demonstrate improved literacy, numeracy, and socio-emotional learning gains where the theme of project is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in classroom and community settings. Under the brand of Sisimpur, apart from its Television and Digital initiatives, RDRS will lead the implementation of School and Community initiatives. This school and community activities will be implemented in two sub-districts Kulaura and Rajnagar of Moulvibazar district to cover 100+ non-government primary schools run by NGOs, Tea Gardens, Foundations and Societies. Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position will play a lead role in implementing USAID’s Promoting Education for Early Learners Activity project in all schools at the Upazila level as per Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP)
∎ Lead and guide RDRS Upazila Project office staffs and work as team to implement the project activities
∎ Attend, contribute and jointly develop the project Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP)
∎ Conduct community mobilization and community preparation in favor of project goals and objectives
∎ Visit and facilitating role play in non-government primary schools run by NGOs, Tea Gardens, Foundations and Societies and maintain all cooperation guidelines to non-formal Education school teacher.
∎ Maintain regular correspondences with LGI, SMC, PTA, Teachers, Parents, Local Elites and share about present condition of Project activities towards improvements.
∎ Arrange meeting, workshops and training and facilitate these events following different guidelines.
∎ Attend in different meeting seminars; workshops arranged by community & local institutions and share Program model in the audience.
∎ Assist to project coordinator to execute school and community-based events, fairs and others to the project locations.
∎ Contribute to data collection, survey, evaluation, research and support to internal visitors at his/her concerned catchment area.
∎ Preserve and maintain data, information, and records for types of report preparation and submission as needed flowing timeline and standard.
∎ Programmatic liaison with upazila and school authorities.
∎ Regular communication and coordination with district office.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 08 Years experiences in child education program in technical areas like Monitoring, Evaluation, Supervision, Coordination, and 05 years in training facilitation
∎ And training materials development.
∎ Working with NGOs with field exposures will be preferred.
∎ Interpersonal & communication skills, presentation,training facilitation & report writing skill, school supervision, community mobilization, computer (MS Office) operating and Motorcycle driving skills.
Salary: Tk. 33184 (Monthly)
