Job Context:
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices in Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet. CB is implementing 87 on-going projects covering 209 upazila focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare and Community Development, ii) Quality Education, iii) Health Care and Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Development and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is looking for suitable candidates (men and women) for immediate appointment as well as to prepare panel list for Leadership to Ensure Adequate Nutrition (LEAN) Project based in Bandarban Hill Tracts under Caritas Chattogram Region supported by European Commission Innovative Approaches for Local Nutrition Governance. This is a five years Project which aims to create an enabling environment for improved and sustained pro-poor nutrition security service delivery and awareness will address the institutional determinants of under nutrition in Naikhongchari, Thanchi & Alikadam upazila of the CHT.

∎ Job Location: Naikhongchari, Chittagong Hill Tracts
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Upazila Coordinator is the leader of the Upazila project team. S/he will be responsible for coordination, implementation, monitoring and supervision of all activities in three assigned Upazilas of Bandarban District.
∎ Coordinate and implement all project activities at Upazila level in line with project goals and objectives.
∎ Monitoring and supervise the project activities and smooth implementation as per Plan.
∎ Progress monitoring through regular field visits
∎ Supervise and check the quality of work/deliverables of the field Facilitators.
∎ Support team members on ways to properly document, organize and capture progress of the project.
∎ Compile Upazila reports and ensure timely submission to Project Manager.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual progress report.
∎ Documentation, knowledge management and dissemination of reports relating to training, workshops, surveys, dialogue, events.
∎ Assist partner's officials to develop and plan coordination processes as an advocacy tool between community, private sector and the government through the local service provision approach.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ At least 4 years' work experience in reputed development organizations as Upazila Coordinator/Supervisor/Facilitator with a particular focus on nutrition/health in CHT.
∎ Minimum 2-3 years' experience of development project coordination and implementation at Upazila level particularly in CHT.
∎ At least 1-2 years' nutrition/health and 2 years livelihood project related experience desirable.
∎ Good command both in English & Bangla
∎ Knowledge on program aspect, Supervision, Monitoring & Evaluation
∎ Computer skill both English & Bangla on MS-Office
∎ Knowledge on Coordination, leadership, community engagement and relationship building
∎ Knowledge and experience of working with Local Government Institutions
∎ Good networking, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
∎ Good knowledge on diversity and sensitivity of CHT
∎ Able to drive Motor Cycle and have valid driving license or in process.
∎ Working knowledge on any of the major CHT Tribal languages would be an added advantage.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 38,000/- per month which is renewable on yearly basis and two bonuses @ 50% of Consolidated Salary per year.
