Job Context:
∎ JAGO NARI is going to implement ICDRM Project, Supported by Plan International Bangladesh at three Unions under Bhola Sadar Upazilla.
∎ JAGO NARI is seeking application from the appropriate and qualified candidate who has the nationality of Bangladesh and has willingness to work community level.
∎ Duration: Three years contract (with probable extension)
∎ Job Nature: Full-time and spend 60-70% time at field level
∎ Job duration: 32 Months
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure that the Community Mobilizers are trained and equipped for organizing community mobilization as per program strategies and conducting the same in a timely and qualitative way.
∎ Work closely with the Community Mobilizer's for smooth operation in field level and orient the community about the Resilient Community and Climate Change adaptation.
∎ Support the Community Mobilizers in organizing capacity building training for Community Person, SDMC, UDMC and CO and Youth Group.
∎ Ensure participatory planning for implementation of the Project activities and effective engagement of SDMC, SMC, UDMC and CO and Youth groups also.
∎ Ensure that the Monthly SDMC, CO and Youth Group meetings are held on time in an effective manner.
∎ Maintain weekly and monthly implementation plan.
∎ Jointly work with the Community Mobilizers and assist them for smooth implementation.
∎ Ensure to conduct/update community mapping.
∎ Implement the activities as per Detail Activity Plan (DIP). such as
∎ Work closely with SDMC, UDMC for organizing courtyard sessions.
∎ Organize training sessions for beneficiaries and other stakeholder
∎ Support in input distribution and record keeping
∎ Follow up visit/ monitoring to Community Mobilizers and beneficiaries
∎ Support for organizing training sessions
∎ Support to assist DRR subgroups for developing village contingency plan
∎ Ensure that the courtyard sessions and training sessions of community Mobilizers are organized as per plan in a qualitative way.
∎ Establish and maintain liaison/coordination with the GO, NGO and Local Govt. Institutions (LGI) at the Union level.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age At most 40 year(s)
∎ Minimum 4 years professional experience in implementing DRR related activities at the community level;
∎ Should have experience in community mobilization, communication, liaison and collaborating with the LGIs/GO/NGO officials;
∎ Report preparation at the different stage of the project; good communication skills in English and Bengali;
∎ Willing to stay at Union level and must be willing to drive bi-cycle / motor Bike; good understanding about rural community, its dynamics, power structure and development issues; sensitive to the needs and conditions of women and children.
Salary: Tk. 30881 (Monthly)
