• Minimum of 03 years of progressive experience in designing, managing, and delivering training and capacity-building programs within donor-funded development projects.
• Proven experience working in Disability-Inclusive Development, Child Protection, GBV/PSEA, or Rights-Based programming is highly required.
• Demonstrated experience managing or technical-backstopping junior training field staff (e.g., Assistant Training Officers or Facilitators.
• Advanced facilitation, presentation, and communication skills suitable for diverse audiences (from government officials to community peer leaders).
• Deep operational understanding of disability rights, inclusive safeguarding, and child protection case management.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills in both Bangla and English.
• Proficiency in coordinating training across remote areas within the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Sylhet, or Mymensingh divisions.

The Training Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring the technical quality of all training, orientations, and capacity-building interventions under the project. The role supports the achievement of key project outcomes focused on establishing a Master Trainers pool, strengthening the capacity of the social service workforce, promoting disability-inclusive child protection and case management, raising community awareness on PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), GBV, environmental protection, and building the life-skills of children and adolescents with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

A. Training Planning & Coordination

• Develop and implement an integrated annual and quarterly project training calendar aligned with the project’s 4 core outputs and key performance indicators.

• Coordinate multi-level training rollouts across target Upazilas and Districts for diverse groups: government social workers, peer leaders, parents/caregivers, CROs, CHOs, OPDs/SHGs and teachers.

• Directly line-manage, guide, and supervise Assistant Training Officers to ensure consistent, high-quality field-level delivery of all learning events.

B. Curriculum & Materials Development

• Lead the development, adaptation, contextualization, and printing of high-quality training modules, toolkits, and SBCC materials covering Disability inclusion, child protection, psychosocial support, PSEAH, GBV, life-skills development.

• Ensure all learning instruments are highly participatory, fully accessible to persons with various types of disabilities, culturally appropriate, and gender-responsive.

C. Training Delivery & Quality Assurance

• Facilitate or co-facilitate high-level workshops, including the formulation of the Master Trainers Pool (consisting of govt. social workers, peer leaders, parents, and OPD members).

• Ensure advanced adult learning methodologies, inclusive communication tools, and participatory exercises are embedded in all sessions.

• Conduct routine field quality monitoring during rollouts by Community Facilitators and Assistant Training Officers, ensuring accurate technical content delivery.

D. Capacity Building of Community & Institutional Structures

• Strengthen the operational and technical knowledge of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and special school teachers.

• Orient and build the capacity of Community-Based Child Protection Committees (CBCPCs) on PSEA and the safety of children and adolescents with disabilities.

• Provide ongoing technical mentorship to project stakeholders, ensuring post-training application of skills in case management and referral tracking.

E. Monitoring, Documentation & Learning

• Collaborate with the Monitoring persons to track key training indicators (pre-/post-test data, knowledge application scores, and numbers trained.

• Assist in conducting project needs assessments, Baseline & Resource Mapping, and Endline Evaluations.

• Document comprehensive training completion reports, capturing field-level success stories, lessons learned, and best practices to feed into quarterly donor reporting for UNICEF.

• Support the coordination of major project advocacy events and national day observations (e.g., World Environment Day, International Day of Persons with Disabilities).

• As per project budget & organizational policy.
