The Opportunity

SWOCCHAR is a 4-year project with funding support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The project primarily aims at strengthening women’s economic rights and empowerment through the transformative role of the women-led organizations (WLOs). This is expected to achieve through two interlinked pillars - (i) strengthening gender-responsive organizational capacity (institutional, technical and influencing) of the targeted WLOs based on a robust and comprehensive organizational capacity assessment (OCA) of the respective WLOs, and (ii) strengthening collective voice and influence of the targeted WLOs through joint agenda setting, movement building, social norm-shifting campaigns and advocacy/influencing.

Since the project is founded on organizational capacity development (OCD) of the targeted WLOs, this role holder is expected to support the external consultant in coordinating the OCA/D process with the WLOs, and subsequently support and follow-through with the WLOs in effective implementation and rollout of their respective OCD plans. This will include but not be limited to regular communication with and field visits to the local WLOs, monitoring, documentation and reporting, and data management. S/he will also closely engage with and support the youth-led organizations for norm-shifting campaigns under Youth Innovation Fund, and coordinate with/support the consultant/researcher for the anticipated study on gender and civic space. As a key member of the project, s/he will maintain coordination with SCI internal teams and support the Manager-SWOCCHAR in running the project smoothly as per project plan and budget. S/he will also work with the MEAL colleagues in documenting and analysing data and evidence to aid the SWOCCHAR project in making informed decisions. S/he will also provide day-to-day support to the project operations including logistics management for external events and coordinating meetings (e.g. Task team, Steering Committee, Advisory Committee, Donor, etc) with various stakeholders as and when necessary.
