Uttaran is a people-centered organization using a rights-based approach to alleviate poverty, diversify livelihood opportunities and empower poor communities of Bangladesh.
∎ Uttaran in Partnership with World Vision Bangladesh is implementing Youth Empowered Project."Preventing Child, Early and Forced Marriage through Integrated SRHR Transformation" project. It is a 3-years project that will use a multi-pronged approach to empower girls and young women to exert greater control over Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) decision-making and the factors that drive CEFM with the support of their families and communities. The project will build the capacity of community and health ecosystems to provide gender-responsive and adolescent-friendly SRHR and CEFM information and services. Through evidence-informed and complementary pathways, the project seeks to contribute to the ultimate outcome of "Enhanced realization of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights of Girls and Young Women (10-24 years) in Bagherhat and Sathkira districts of Bangladesh."
∎ Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled Technical Officer for Youth Empowered; preventing child, early & forced marriages in Bangladesh (Youth Empowered) project

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Improve delivery of age-appropriate Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and services with essential health services in public health services delivery center.
∎ Identify underlying causes of high rates of Child Early and forced Marriage (CEFM) and its disproportionate impact on both the physical and psychosocial well-being of adolescent girls, including increased risk of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), exposure to sexually transmitted infections including HIV, complications during pregnancy and childbirth and anxiety and depression.
∎ Mobilize the community groups, adolescent and parents group to reduce the Child early and forced Marriage( CEFM)
∎ Increase uptake of advance SRHR by the community
∎ Strengthen governance policy and public engagement of SRHR through building capacity of government health staff and community health workers at upazila level
∎ Ensure participatory Monitoring & Evaluation system
∎ Manage Upazila team and build their capacity
∎ Networking and linkage with consortium members, local government, WV Zonal office and Uttaran Office
∎ This position purposes is to ensure technical support to overall implementation of project activities at three-sub districts and coordinate with upazila administration especially CSOs, UHFPO, UFPO, on regular basis. The position also aims to coordinate with the stakeholders with same responsibilities in the district/sub-district to ensure their contributions to deliver SRHS for the targeted community.
∎ The position also aims to work closely with the community and team members especially Project officers in delivering gender equity SRHS services and share reports timely.
∎ The position will provide technical support the team member, community group to build the capacity of community and health ecosystems to provide gender-responsive and adolescent-friendly SRHR and CEFM information and services.
∎ The position together with other team member seek to contribute to the ultimate outcome of "Enhanced realization of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights of Girls and Young Women (10-24 years old) in Bagherhat and Sathkira districts of Bangladesh."
∎ This position purposes is to facilitate monitoring & evaluation, networking and coordination, communications with district and sub district government Health focal point, capacity building for project staff as well as government health staff working under sub district for delivering SRHS and strengthen capacity of the community and government health staff.
∎ This position requires frequent field visits, confidence on writing qualitative reports, practical use of PLA tools and techniques
∎ This position will report to Project Coordinator.
∎ Positions Technically Supervised :Project Officer, Senior Community Facilitators
∎ Financial Authority : As per LOA
∎ Budget : As per LOA
∎ Decision Making Authority: Within Uttaran & partnership agreement and procedure.
∎ External relationship: Upazila Nirbahi Officer(UNO), Upazila Health Complex(UHC), Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer(UH&FPO), Upazila Family Planning Officer (THO), Union Health and Family Welfare Centre(UHFPO), Upazila Education Officer, other relevant officer in Upazila and Zilla, WVB relevant staff for the project, Committees/ Groups, CSOs, CBOs, Child Forum Village Committee, Ward/Council/Union Parishad, school committee.
∎ Internal relationship: Project Coordinator, Project Officer, Finance staff, M&EO, SCFs, CFs & respect all the staff of Uttaran

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Expected Starting Date: 14 June 2023
∎ At least 2 years working experienced on SRHR & Mental health and psychosocial support issue
∎ Women Candidates will be highly Prioritized

Salary: Tk. 52700 (Monthly)
