Job Context:
∎ Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) is a non-government organization, working for Human Rights and Good Governance invites applications from Bangladeshi nationals for the position ofTechnical Officer - Livelihoods for "Partnership for Resilient Livelihoods in CHT Region project".
∎ Working Conditions: The position is based in Rangamati, frequent travel is required to the other two project locations in Bandarban and Khagrachari districts.
∎ Project Brief:
∎ "The Partnership for Resilient Livelihoods in CHT Region"- a four-year project led by MJF, is aimed to contribute to poverty reduction and improving the livelihoods of the extremely poor households in the three Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) districts of Bangladesh. This initiative is supported by the EU and will benefit 20,000 households, and nearly 98,000 people in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. MJF seeks a highly motivated and experienced Technical Officer - Livelihoods to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to the social protection component of the project, including planning, coordinating, and implementing related activities.
∎ Reporting: Project Coordinator-PRLC Project

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Technical Officer -Livelihoods, as a member of the Partnership for Resilient Livelihoods in CHT Region project team, is responsible for providing technical support to implement and monitor the livelihoods component of the project. This role involved supporting partner organisations in livelihoods-focused initiatives across project areas, building their capacity to implement activities with beneficiaries and stakeholders, and promoting project activities through community mobilization and engagement. The Technical Officer will coordinate Climate SMART Integrated Farm Management Farmer Field School (CS-IFMFFS) initiatives in the project sites. S/H will provide technical guidance to the partner organisations' staff, Master Trainers and Farmers Facilitators. He or she will coordinate with other technical employees and cross-functional teams and inform stakeholders of programme results and effects using technical reports and presentations. The Technical officer will maintain effective communication and contact with the various line departments such as agriculture, livestock, fisheries, social welfare of Chittagong Hill Tracts.
∎ Key responsibility:
∎ Technical Officer - Livelihoods in implementing all planned activities of the livelihoods component of the project in line with best practices.
∎ Lead to review and update training curriculum and modules for Farmer field school.
∎ Support selecting eligible Farmers and update their database regularly and Organise bi-monthly Farmers' Facilitators coordination meetings.
∎ Provide technical support to conduct regular sessions on Climate SMART Integrated Farm Management- Farmer Field School (CS-IFMFFS), livestock vaccination and deworming campaign and Farmer Field Days.
∎ Lead the process to select Master Trainers and Farmers' Facilitators from the community.
∎ Organise and coordinate ToTs, orientations and refreshers for Master Trainers and Farmers' Facilitators.
∎ Assess market collection points and provide support to develop and reform community-managed market collection points.
∎ Facilitate Training for officials of the GoB line department from such as DAE, DLS, DoF, Hill District Councils and CHTRC on Climate-smart - Integrated Farm Management- Farmer Field School (IFM-FFS).
∎ Provide technical support to poultry and livestock, Agriculture, and Fisheries demonstrations by PNGOs.
∎ Support Team in organising Union Development Coordination Committee meetings:
∎ Assist team in assessing youth skill needs and planning job fairs.
∎ Regular monitoring of partners' field level activities and provide feedback effectively.
∎ Collaborate with other technical staff and cross-functional teams to ensure that livelihood programmes are integrated with other relevant programs and initiatives.
∎ Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate programme results and impact to stakeholders.
∎ Support to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track the progress and impact of the PRLC project.
∎ Maintain effective communications and contacts with the line department such as DAE, DLS, DoF, and other local government institutes.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in implementing livelihoods programmes in the context of poverty reduction.
∎ Ability to manage process effectively, and work under pressure and maintain strict deadlines.
∎ Having computer skills on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Utilities.
∎ Experience in training/workshop facilitation.
∎ Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
∎ Working knowledge on any of the significant CHT local languages would be an added advantage.
∎ Good command both English and Bangla.
∎ Knowledge of Coordination, leadership, community engagement and relationship building.
∎ Knowledge and experience in working with Local Government Institutions and line departments.
∎ Good networking, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
∎ Experiences in working with a partnership approach.
∎ Good report-writing and presentation skills.
∎ Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
∎ Ability to work independently and in a team.
∎ Ability to travel and work in remote areas of CHT.
∎ Supportive and committed to work for vulnerable groups, Values oriented and Gender sensitive, Displays Sensitivity and adaptability on cultural diversity, gender, religion, nationality and age.
∎ Good knowledge on diversity and sensitivity of CHT
∎ Able to drive Motor Cycle and have valid driving license or be in the process of obtaining one.
