Job Responsibilities:
∎ Gender Equity Movement in Schools (GEMS) is a component of Building Better future for Girls (BBFG) project under RDRS Bangladesh. It will be implemented in 137 secondary schools and madrashas in two Upazilas of Kurigram district.
∎ The position will be responsible to play technical role for conducting and facilitating training and orientation on the GEMS module in secondary schools/madrashas and making continues follow up to keep the result in right track over the project period.
∎ Initiate and ensure technical and facilitation support in effective planning and proper implementation, follow-up and monitoring of the project activities relating to Life skill, SRHR, child marriage protection, advocacy, Capacity building of students, SMCs, Youths, communities and stakeholders to achieve the project outputs;
∎ Facilitate technical sessions in different training/ workshop/discussion as required by the project or organization;
∎ Prepare different publications, training module, activity guideline as required by the project or organization;
∎ S/he will be responsible for planning, budgeting, and implementing the activities related to the project in line with the results.
∎ Facilitate to implement child and adolescent friendly and gender transformative issues at the grass-root level.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual report both numeric & narrative, produce case study and success story and send to Project Coordinator;
∎ Provide technical assistance and/or necessary information for preparing/publishing reports and documents;
∎ Regular and frequent field visit to find out possibilities, identify problems, assess and follow-up activities being implemented and provide facilitation to field level stakeholders
∎ Monitor and evaluate project progress to reach the target within the life of the project;
∎ Maintain necessary liaison at educational institutions, local government institutions, Upazila and District level with Government line agencies, respective Authorities, media, civil society and other related stakeholders in connection with project activities, information sharing and field implementation;
∎ Assist Project Officer (Capacity Development) and Project Coordinator (BBFG) to establish effective system for information sharing with internal and external stakeholders.
∎ S/he will carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the senior management as required by the project or organization.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least two years practical experience in working on child protection/secondary school and madrasha authority, student, teacher. Experience in working with local administration particularly education department will be an advantage.
∎ The candidate must have the skills on training facilitation, publications, report writing and documentation;
∎ Candidate should have good presentation, motivational and advocacy skill.
∎ Able to work with Educational Institutions, local Government Institutions, CBOs, Professional Groups, Social leaders, Media and other Social pressure groups will be an added advantage;
∎ Have ability to work with Adolescent and youth group, Community Mobilization etc.;
∎ Good interpersonal and facilitation skill;
∎ Strong verbal and written skills in both Bangla and English.
∎ Proficiency in MS-Office applications and Internet Navigation is necessary.
∎ Capable of preparing narrative and numerical report in English;
∎ Strong leadership quality and ability to work under pressure;
∎ Willingness to visit field activities frequently and candidate must have valid motorcycle driving license.
Salary: Tk. 27692 (Monthly)
