Job Context:
∎ Name of the Position: Team Leader under the project "STI and HIV Prevention Service Package for Brothel Based Sex Workers and their Clients" (SP-01)
∎ Duration: July 2021 to May 2022
∎ Work station: Dhaka, adequate filed visit to project sides
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Mobilizing key and other staff and other resources and materials needed at HQs and DIC level to start project activities
∎ Leading the team, overall management, operation, implementation and monitoring of the project
∎ Development of implementation plan in line with proposed design of the project
∎ Staff orientation on the project and arranging needs based training for the staff
∎ Coordinate, guide, support, supervise and motivate the team members in performing their assigned tasks as per their job description and implementation plan
∎ Solve project problems (troubleshooting) in consultation with ASP
∎ Provide guidance and ensure setting up and operation of drop-in-centers (DICs) in 10 brothels
∎ Provide guidance in conducting activities at DIC and community level
∎ Making policy decisions regarding implementation of project activities including benchmark survey
∎ Maintain liaison with ASP/Government and JV members
∎ Review the progress of the project activities as per implementation plan
∎ Organize meetings with the key personnel of JV members, sharing of experiences of progress and quality of services of the project
∎ Develop innovative strategies aiming to increase coverage of female sex workers
∎ Monitoring visit to the DICs to oversee field activities and quality of the services
∎ Holding of monthly meeting with key personnel and review the progress, quality and problems and to take action plan to overcome the problems
∎ Prepare advocacy plan and implement to resolve problems
∎ Provide guidance in holding policy level dialogues for security and livelihood of FSWs
∎ Evaluate staff performance on regular basis and provide necessary training
∎ Ensure high esteem of ethical values throughout the program implementation period
∎ Preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, annual, project completion report (both performance and financial reports) to ASP
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 8 years working experience in the development field among its 5 years working in HIV/ AIDS in the senior level in national NGO or government project/ program. Preference given to the person having experience as team leader in HIV programme.
