Responsibilities & Context:
Looking for teachers for an English medium school named Dhaka City International School (DCIS).
Job Responsibilities – Teacher
- Plan and conduct engaging lessons in English, Mathematics, Science, Arabic, and other relevant subjects according to the school curriculum.
- Teach students using age-appropriate and student-friendly methods, especially for Pre-School and primary-level learners.
- Prepare daily lesson plans, classwork, homework, worksheets, and learning materials.
- Develop students’ English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary.
- Teach basic Mathematical concepts, Science topics, and Arabic language skills according to students’ learning levels.
- For Pre-School students, focus on basic literacy, numeracy, communication, creativity, manners, social skills, and early childhood development through interactive activities and play-based learning.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Assess students’ academic progress through class tests, assignments, activities, and regular observation.
- Provide individual support to students who need additional academic assistance.
- Encourage students to participate in co-curricular activities, creative activities, group work, and classroom discussions.
- Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding students’ academic performance, behaviour, and overall development.
- Maintain attendance, academic records, assessment results, and other necessary classroom documentation.
- Use digital learning tools, multimedia, and interactive teaching techniques to make lessons more effective and engaging.
- Follow school policies, curriculum guidelines, examination procedures, and professional standards.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and school authorities to ensure students’ academic, moral, social, and personal development.
- Participate in school events, meetings, examinations, training sessions, and other assigned duties.
- Perform any other teaching-related responsibilities assigned by the school authority.
