∎ Bachelor degree in any discipline
∎ Any degree in Journalism or English will be added advantage.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
previous experience of working in digital news.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Newspaper/Magazine, Online Newspaper/ News Portal
∎ Freshers are also encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Taking breaking news from correspondents over phone or other communication channels and file reports fast.
∎ Taking reports and special features filed by correspondents and edit them.
∎ Translating reports and special features from Bangla to English fast.
∎ Editing news copies ensuring factual accuracy and conciseness under time pressure.
∎ Uploading news on the website panel.
∎ Monitor breaking and trending news, and alert concerned correspondents.
∎ Taking photo to go with stories.
∎ Compiling and rewriting stories as per news editor's assignment.
∎ Occasionally writing reports or features.
∎ Coordinate with news editors, correspondents, photographers.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 24 years
∎ Strong English skills and writing style.
∎ Sound observational and critical thinking skills.
∎ Basic understanding of journalistic principles.
∎ Basic understanding of SEO.
∎ Punctuality and ability to work with deadlines.
