Education:

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.).

Should have FCPS (Physical Medicine), MD/Diploma in Orthopedics or relevant education & qualification and experience on pain management.

Responsibilities & Context:

1.Provide expert clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and chronic pain conditions.

2.Lead and develop physical medicine and pain management services, therapies, and rehabilitation pathways.

3.Work collaboratively with surgeons, physicians, therapists, and allied healthcare teams.

4.Conduct outpatient clinic consultations and inpatient care as required.

5.Develop individualized treatment plans including therapeutic interventions, medication management, and interventional pain procedures (if qualified).

6.Monitor and document patient outcomes, treatment efficacy, and progress.

7.Educate patients, families, and junior staff on pain control, rehabilitation goals, and home management plans.

8.Contribute to hospital quality improvement, clinical protocols, medical education, and pain management strategies.

9.Experience with interventional pain procedures (e.g., nerve blocks, injections) is an advantage.

10.Ability to contribute to clinical guideline development and rehabilitation program design.

11.Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.

12.Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives

13.Teach and support junior clinical staff, maintain patient records, and uphold hospital policies.
