Education:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
- MBBS degree with valid BMDC registration.

relevant experience:
- CMU/DMU in Ultrasonography (USG) with PGT in Radiology and Imaging from a Government medical college hospital. Candidates who have completed DMU will be given preference.
- Only females are requested to apply.
- Two (2) years of experience as Sonologist in any private or NGO clinic/hospital/MCWC is preferable.
- Experience in service delivery is desirable.
- Willingness to work in remote and hard-to-reach areas.
- Willingness to respond in emergencies beyond duty rosters.
Responsibilities & Context: Responsible for:
- Perform ultrasound on patients and provide necessary insights for diagnostic purposes.
- Co relate the ultrasound scan with history, and clinical findings.
- Perform pregnancy profile, anomaly scan, and other scans as advised.
- Produce clear, concise, and accurate reports as per findings.
- Maintain IPC protocols.
- Perform diagnostic ultrasonography (abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, and small parts) as per clinical indications;
- Ensure proper documentation and archiving of ultrasound images and reports;
- Maintain ultrasound machine and ensure routine quality control;
- Train and mentor clinical staff on ultrasound procedures and appropriate usage;
- Ensure safe and ethical use of ultrasound, particularly in maternal and reproductive health cases;
Activities:
- Admit and evaluate new patients and decide appropriate action (e.g. treatment and discharge, or admission into clinical units;
- Support clinical research work in the hospital in order to ensure proper clinical management;
- Train other staffs in basic rules and procedures followed at Friendship Hospital;
- Coach junior staffs on the job on an ongoing basis;
- Prepare and present reports on cases, incidents, initiatives etc. during team meetings and department meetings in order to share experience(s) and learning with team member.
- Perform routine and emergency ultrasonography to aid in diagnosis and patient management;
- Coordinate with clinical teams for timely imaging in maternal, trauma, and pediatric cases;
- Maintain ultrasound logbooks and patient data securely and confidentially;
- Report abnormal or urgent findings promptly to the attending physician;
- Participate in continuous learning and skills development in diagnostic imaging.
