Desired Skills, Expertise and Knowledge:

• 8–12+ years of experience architecting and delivering data & analytics platforms in enterprise environments.
• 3+ years of experience with AI/ML and AI-enabled analytics (LLMs, RAG, agents).
• Strong hands-on coding skills with Spark (PySpark/Scala), SQL, dbt, and modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Proven expertise in BI and semantic modeling using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Mode.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security (IAM, policy-as-code, encryption), and compliance in regulated industries.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document architectures and engage both technical and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Financial-services domain expertise (payments, cards, lending, partner banking).
• Data catalog/lineage & quality: Collibra/Alation, OpenLineage, Great Expectations/Monte Carlo.

Position Summary: We are looking to onboard a Solution Architect to own the end-to-end architecture for a data platform—a self-serve, AI-native BI layer on top of a financial-services data lake/mesh (gold/silver/bronze). You’ll unify discovery, composition, and contribution; enable NLQ + chat-driven analytics; and enforce enterprise-grade governance, security, and observability across payments, cards, lending, and partner ecosystems. Office hours will be from Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Define target & interim architecture: reference diagrams, data contracts, semantic/NLQ models, API/event schemas, and write-back patterns.
• Conversational BI: design NLQ orchestration, semantic layer, query planner, auto-viz/forecasting, and “board mode”; integrate with the organization’s internal GPT platform.
• Contribution layer: architect governed upload/stream/write-back with schema & quality gates, stewardship workflows, and automatic metadata capture into the dictionary.
• Data platform: lakehouse (medallion) and curated marts; federation; cost/perf optimization; caching; workload isolation.
• Governance & observability: lineage, audit trail, prompt/response logging, evaluations and drift monitors for AI-generated content; SLIs/SLOs & runbooks.
• Security & compliance: IAM (RBAC/ABAC), fine-grained policies, masking/tokenization, KMS/HSM, data residency; control mapping for GLBA, SOX, PCI, NYDFS 500, SOC 2/ISO 27001.
• Delivery leadership: partner with Platform Eng, Data Stewards, Risk/Legal, and domain teams; drive design reviews, RFCs, and cutovers.
