• Experience: Experience in the banking or fintech sector is preferred.
• Proven track record as a Data Engineer or Data Architect.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Skilled in data modeling (e.g., ERD diagrams, star and snowflake schemas).
• Experience with ETL tools and data integration (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatic, AWS Glue).
• Knowledge of data warehousing (e.g., AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Google Big Query).
• Familiarity with data governance, quality, and security best practices.
• Programming skills in Python or Java (a plus).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Position Summary:

Genese Solution is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design and implement data architectures, build ETL pipelines, and manage databases. In this hybrid role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, secure, and scalable data solutions. Experience in banking or fintech, proficiency in SQL, and expertise in data integration tools are essential for this position. Join us to contribute to impactful data-driven projects. Office hours will be from Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Architecture and Design:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data architecture and create scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions.
• Develop and maintain data models in alignment with business needs and data governance standards.
• Recommend suitable data storage technologies, databases, and warehousing solutions.

Data Integration and ETL:

• Build and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to integrate data from diverse sources.
• Optimize data flows for performance and reliability.
• Uphold data quality and integrity through validation and cleansing.

Database Management:

• Manage databases, including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues.
• Implement data security measures and manage access controls.

Data Visualization:

• Utilize BI tools like Tableau for effective data visualization.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with data analysts, scientists, and other stakeholders to meet their data needs.
• Integrate data solutions with other systems and applications.
• Simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Documentation:

• Keep comprehensive records of data architecture, processes, and data dictionaries.
